Because the water is only in contact with the air for a very short period of time and is trying to cool it down from nigh on 100 degrees... 35 is pretty good :thumleft:

You would only see equal temps between intake and cc coolant if the chargecooler core and water were perfect heat transfer agents, which they aren't.

30/35c inlet temp sounds about right when cruising. I was seeing those kinds of inlet temps when out cruising today. 15c sounds a bit low for the CC water temp unless the outside air temp is really low. How are you measuring your temperatures?

I can't see how the CC water temps could ever be lower than the outside air temp. Are you always seeing 15c cc water temps or does it go any higher?

hi mate
if i boost then water temp goes up
the water will be cooler then out side temp because of the wind chill factor(put hand out of moving car window) :wink:hand gets cold

It is impossible for the water temperature to be below that of the ambient air. Wind chill is an apparent temperature felt on the skin as a result of evaporative cooling.

I felt my coolant after a run and I have to say it felt colder than the outside air temp  but I didnt have a meter to check it with, just felt cooler.

Wind chill is when the temperature feels colder than the ambient temperature. Inanimate objects cannot "feel" colder than the air temperature. It is impossible to cool any inamimate object below the air temperature regardless of the amount of airflow. To do so would violate the laws of physics and thermal transfer.
