Its all Gotta Go, The lot, everything

Post by Rev1Richie »

Rev1 N/A with Loads of extras..

Well it has come to that time when I have to say farewell to everyone as I no longer have the pleasure of driving an MR2. And I have to say, it WAS a pleasure. A few weeks ago some lady decided to pay more attention to the flowers than the car in front and ended up skidding into me, taking out my rear qtr. A few weeks later after numerous calls to Activia…sorry Aviva, I end up with £1000 and my car. The lady in question was uninsured, so thankfully I was FC. She fixed her bumper for £100 and the guy who turned suddenly escaped altogether, Why do I feel I got the wrong end of a very long stick.!

Anyway, I have decided I need an automatic, but I also want more power, so unfortunately that is why I have purchased a Nissan 300ZX TT. It doesn’t feel the same when I get in, the MR2 was like a glove, but that’s what they call progress, I think.

So that leaves me with the daunting task of selling all of the bits I’ve got stashed away and on the car. However, firstly I’ll give a price for the whole lot in one sale. If you’re new to MR2’s, this would be a quick way to get on the band wagon.

Car has damage to drivers door, rear vent and sill. Insurance company has registered it as cat3. So a form is required stamping before tax/insurance etc.. (See pics for damage)

Car is a ’91 J plate, Mileage is 118,00. Service History, Some Main Dealer.

Re-sprayed in red, 3L2. This is a Toyota colour, but not one of the usual crimson red or super red. (I have a 1.5 litre can of paint mixed that goes with it)

New Clutch fitted when I bought it in 2007

Details for Car

Apexi Air Intake
X-brace
Tinted windows (rear qtrs and rear)
Rev 3 lights. Currently with std Rev1 panel. I have the rev3 centre panel but have not fitted it)
High Level 3rd Brake Light
Cream interior
Enzo Styling steering wheel, handbrake and gear knob
Short shifter fitted
Matching gear and handbrake gaiters
EL Glow dials
Remote locking fitted but power disconnected
Polished fuse covers
Clear indicators, reflector missing from drivers side, bought a new one but can’t find it…still looking
New Clear Headlamps, with extra bright bulbs.

Std Alloys have Falken ZE 912 tyres on them, 195/60/R14 on the front and 205/60/R14 on the rear. Note, the drivers rear alloy must have been slightly damaged as it deflated over a few days after the accident. Treads on tyres are fine, they’ve had about 8 months on them

Paintwork is okay, it has some laquer peeling off here and there, worst place is the rear drivers side spoiler fin, but I have a new one ready to spray and fit so not really a problem. On the boot lid, spoiler and engine cover there are some slight imperfections to the paint work, cant figure what they are but was planning to respray those parts.

Exhaust is blowing a bit, nothing tragic, but needs attention soon.

Car Pc Fitted and working, all software include, currently runs win xp pro, with Free ICE and Sygic. (Has Road Runner Installed) PC is Dell SX260, with 7 or 8 inch Lilliput touch screen moulded into front fascia. Intelligent power supply, Power taken from Battery from Separate installed power line and 30W fuse. Fitted with 250W Power Amp.

Well that’s as much as I can remember I’ve done to the car, so it’s now down to the bits and pieces.

Bits and Pieces

Well from the Photo’s, you can see the following Parts included in the Sale
Drivers and Passengers seats covered in cream leatherette with red piping, runners look okay but need checking
Front and rear suspension springs, free lengths are 310mm and 245mm
Original Steering wheel
Inlet manifold
2 sets of clear indicators, 1 with reflectors, 1 without
Original Headlamps
Set of Lexus IS200 alloys (17”) some kerb damage.
GRP Black rear rev1 panel with reversing lights and logo
Rev3 Rear panel
Polished exhaust cover
Rev1 rear lights, tinted
Engine cover panel
Polished cover for exhaust cover??
Gas rams for frunk and engine bay
GRP rear spoiler wing, drivers side
Pair of side skirts by Flashmetal . 100% guaranteed fit, Border/Bomex cross, unique. Some small chips etc.
Turbo engine lid with water tray.
Rev1 Drivers and Passengers Door cards,
Front Bomex Lip, have not trial fitted so cannot vouch for fit
Various interior parts, can be used to put interior back to black
Original indicators
Service history manual

Tyres on original alloys are Falken ZE912 with 8-9 months wear. The one that got hit has got some damage as the wheel was deflated after 3-4 days

I'm looking for £1500 ono for the lot, which i think is fair. If i dont sell it or get any firm offers i will be selling all the loose parts and stripping the car, so if your interested in anything drop me a line with your intentions.

Richard

Hang on lads...if the car and all bits dont go as one THEN i will put up for sale, so dont get your hopes up to much, i have a guy trying to sell his civic to buy the lot...

in answer jit, the black panel IS NOT a genuine rev 3 panel, it started out as a flat GRP panel for rev1 lights, which i put reversing lights in and the logo, As it stands it WONT fit rev3 lights, it will need shaping.

see here

I have Rev3 lights which i will put you on the list for. Original lights are the orange UK ones
