My next Rev 3 tubby!

Post by fizz »

As some of you may remember i bought an Integra type R a few months back which was an amazing machine but due to one reason and another i have ended up selling it on and gone back to what i love.

Another MR2 Turbo but this time a tin top as opposed to a T-bar.

1995 GT Turbo tin Top

1 owner since import in 06 with full history since its been in the country.

MBC set at 1bar
Tein Lowered and uprated shocks and springs
Blitz Dump Valve
Brand new 17" Lenso RS5 Alloys (black with chrome lip) and toyo tyres.
Also include the original gold/bronze Volks it was imported with
Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust
Momo Steering Wheel
Apexi EL Boost Gauge
Apexi Induction
Tinted rear quarter windows & windscreen
Clifford 650 Alarm/immobiliser with blackjax

I did have another thread in the off topic area but with crappy pics so since i have finally given it a wash/polish/wax i thought id get some more sorted for here! :thumleft:

Next job is to clean up the exhaust!

This is how it should look after a bit of elbow grease!

Been enjoying the performance once again and the Tein coil overs make one hell of a difference to the handling, especially makes it easier to catch when you hang the back end out. :thumleft:

ok.. yesterday i spent about 30/40min cleaning up the exhaust!

Used Auto Glym chrome cleaner £4.95 from Halfords and a scouring pad for washing up pans etc.. and then clean cloth to wipe away any residue and shine it up! :)

Before..

What i think makes a real difference is when you clean the rim of the tail pipes to take the soot off it. so you can see a chrome rim which makes it look sharp! :)

No rust on there what so ever even though from the before pics you can see it 'looked' rusty! :)

Looks lovely. I used to have RS5s on my old S13 200sx, nice looking wheels.

did you get wider ones for the back?

The RS5's were on the car when i bought it.

I believe they are 17x7" all round and as such i dont think Lenso did a 17x8".

I had a set of Lenso KR5 on my old tubby and when i bought them new, i was advised the only way to go wider is to have 16x6" on the front and 17x7" on the rear.

This is what i was advised at the time.. might be different now.

What was the widest tyre you could fit on the 7" wheels?
