[Mk2] [NA] gearbox gone

i was driving home from work changed from second to third and there was nothing the gear knob just flops about all over the place i got the car towed to a garage but they cant look at it till tuesday anyone else had this problem?

Gear selector cables and/or bushe, maybe.

Mate lift up your gear lever gator and you will find that the 13mm nut has undone and the cable has came off the lever. Same thing happenned to me

car is at a garage at the mo wont be able to get to it til tomor but will check tomor cheers mate it flops all the way across from 1st to reverse like theres no gears there at all.

turned out the gear selector cable has snapped anyone know where i can get one from?
