bu88er... this afternoon while making a 'quick' wiring change to facilitate total closure on my alarm I unearthed the biggest pile of wiring fail known to man. Turns out my 'Thatcham Category 1' alarm is installed with scotchlocks, incorrectly, and isn't in a tamperproof metal box like they're meant to be. ](*,) If I can get it all put right and get the interior back together (and watch the F1) in time then I'll still try and make it :thumleft:

Nah that's cool - it being out of the box is actually a good thing as far as I'm concerned as I'm attaching things to the various auxilliary outputs etc. I'm just a little concerned by my spurious thatcham certificate :-k

Yeah, I'm aware of that - it shouldn't ever have had the certificate and therefore I shouldn't receive the insurance discount. It's on my list to sort out very shortly :)

I was talking to a local ICE/alarm company about a new "dangley" key ring bit for my Toad immobiliser. They offered me a Sigma Cat. 1 alarm/cent. lock. on a fob fully fitted with certificate for £200. which seems fair.

Yerr, faces to names is always good :) Gonna go work out what time I'll have to leave and see whether I can fit all this soldering in or not! Might just come up with my dash on my passenger seat instead hehe

First of all, what a great day and pretty good weather for the second monthly Coventry/Solihull meet, a great number of MR2's turned up (I counted 21 in total at the meeting place in Meriden):

Whose is the blue car in the middle of this shot?
There was a vid of it on the TV this morning blasting down a runway somewhere.
Not sure what the news item was about as the wife only caught that bit on tape.
