What are people's general opinions on these carbon GT spoilers?
From the back I think they look pretty sweet, but from a back angle they look a bit mechano (anyone remember this? )
Also, do they work on standard cars or do they need a kit to pull off the look?
Thoughts?

i think they can pull it off with the right kit but it has to be something special or just doesnt suit at all

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Opinions on Carbon GT spoilers?
I liked mine at the time (a couple of years ago since I bought it) and to be fair I bought it largely for function to replace a very ugly rookie racing wing. But it did draw a lot of unwanted attention to the car, and probably was regarded as bad taste by many. I think it tended to look ok when on track days but a bit silly for road use.
Looking back I dont think I would fit one to a predominately road used car again.

IMO no. threw one on my old mr2, and took it off the next day. was a bit embarrassed driving with it on.
but as mentioned, with a beefy kit then maybe.

I think they can be regarded as chavvy and can imagine them bringing unwanted attention to the car.
I had one on an MR2 I had brought over and swapped it for a rev 3 boot lid and spoiler.
There's something I like about them though, but can imagine every boy racer and his dog wanting to race you with one bolted to your boot lid

mikey, probably been asked a million times, but where'd you get that rear grill from?
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Opinions on Carbon GT spoilers?
well im gonna sound like a charva here but they look good in the fast and the furious movies. and i really wanted one after watchin them , but in reality unless your car is a fast and furious replika then it wont look right.. and the general public wont undersatand it.

Its a rear diffuser I made out of some old scrap aluminium at work, based it on the design of a lotus Elise one. (yes have been asked a few times but dont mind). very easy to diy one.

They need the right bodykit to pull the look of a carbon wing off. Just like the white one above, i think it looks great.
Also, this just looks awesome in my opinion
