Re: Standard suspension

Na had toyotas own struts,
Turbo had bilsteins, but bilsten c's, c= comfort.

Much like the mx5, 1.8 on mazda struts, but the 2L has bilsteins b6s

Re: Handling on rev 3 turbo

Tyres make a massive difference, I had goodyear eagke f1s with approximately 5mm tread but a few years old, put new hankook evo12s on and the car is transformed, turn in and grip

Re: Apex spring owners

The rear top mount is rubberised.
Something not right, sounds like the spacer maybe missing or something under the nut

Re: Anyone used the Hankook K110

Hankook v12 evos are awesome tyres, far better than toyos and some of the more expensive brands. I run them all round. I've tried most premium brands and the v12 is up there with the best

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 power

It's do able.
Definitely need an uprated pump and adjustable fpr.
Ideally get an afr gauge, adjust the fpr and boost to suit.
I run 1.3bar on my rev2 on a ct20b with afr in 10/11s on boost at 38psi base pressure. The afm isn't a restriction until a lot more power.

I'll ask the interior smart repair guy when I see him for a business card

Clay bar and 3 stages of polishing is all you need

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Reaching 14PSI on actuator alone Rev 2

I have a ct20b on my rev2, hit 15psi on the actuator alone with an exhaust restriction. Ran a full 3" system and would hit 16psi on actuator, higher on cold days which would make it hit fuel cut even though I have a greddy fcd (apparently meant to remove cut but it doesn't)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] boost control and boost spikes.

18psi is fuel cut.
But a spike will unlikely make it cut in.

What you're describing can be deemed normal.

My ebc states in the instructions to set the ebc limit to 0.2bar over desired maximum for spike reasons

Re: Fuel Consumption

Rev3+ turbos tend to be better than the na day to day. My rev3 turbo weekly returned 350miles from clicking off at the pump to the fuel light. Doing motorway journeys I managed just over 400 miles as a personal best. Driving to silverstone and doing 2 track sessions I still got 280 miles out of it F...
