25% uprated inserts all round.

I am thinking that Eibachs maybe the way forward?

Anyone uses Lestijor? (SP)

Re: [Mk2] [NA] -40mm lowering spring reccomendations?

Are the teins that bad? I was just about to purchase some, can't afford to go coilovers this year after the engine rebuild so was going to get springs Depends what you use your car for i guess? There is a few pictures of my car sat on teins in the members profile (first 2 pictures) https://www.imoc...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] -40mm lowering spring reccomendations?

I've had tein springs on before and found them well hard! Looked mint but drove awful, so bouncy. I'd go coilovers if you can and get it corner weighted. Makes such a difference on an mr2. If not i'd go eibach. I had a full Tein coilover setup on my first rev2 turbo MR2 and the ride was unbelievabl...

Why do you _need_ to lower your car 40mm ?

Because it's my car and that's how much I want to lower it by having experimented with different ride heights before on my previous MR2's.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best bodykit for increasing downforce?

Thanks PBMR. That's some very good advice and comes across as well finded so makes sense. The frunk has the spare wheel and toolkit and for a while it had my toolbox in the front which seems to help any high speed front end lift. The car is only running 16 psi on a full Rev3 conversion but I will be...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best bodykit for increasing downforce?

I didn't actually think rear spats would increase downforce, I was just reffering to the overall style of kit. All undertrays are in place, car lowered -40mm and alignment all done although I haven't played about with having it tweaked much. Tyre's are Kumho Ecsta Le Sports KU39's. Power steering is...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Best bodykit for increasing downforce?

As per title. I basically really want to reduce front end lift at high speed and I am leaning towards the Aeroware front spoiler, side skirts the ones with the direct replacement side scoop lips, rear spats and the larger TRD rea spoiler. PS: Do the Rev 5 front anti speed lift flaps of which there a...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] -40mm lowering spring reccomendations?

I'm thinking Eibach -40mm progressive rate.

The others considered are Lestijor with the same spec but slightly cheaper, anyone used/using these and what is the opinion?

[Mk2] [NA] -40mm lowering spring reccomendations?

Just been told that I need two new rear shocks which was sort of surprising but anyway I've got two inserts on their way. I'm going to change the lowering springs as well while I'm at it and was wondering what others use? I don't want to spend silly money but I don't want complete crap either, anyon...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Bloody foglight bulb gone.

My imports where easy enough to do, the UK models have the stupidest design imaginable.

How's the car?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Bloody foglight bulb gone.

Removed both again, did them 2 years ago.

Had to make new brackets for the lights themself as the plastic was split.

Took bloody ages but done now.

I remember the ones on my imports being pretty easy to change the bulbs on, reached behind, popped the cover off removed old bulbs and fitted new ones.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] T-Bar pop up roof spoilers.

I don't think I'm sure what you mean buddy.

They are fully up and extended when the tbars are off but the wind pushes them flatter and flatter as you increase in speed.

I presume that is what they are meant to do?

Either way they are bloody noisy and think it's best to remove them?

[Mk2] [NA] T-Bar pop up roof spoilers.

You know the things? The wee black pop up spoiler/flap thingies that are at the front of the leading edge under the glass T-Bars when you remove the roof glass? Anyway, in my car the things cause some noise and divert zero air as far as I can see. Along the motorway at anything above 50 mph the wind...

[Mk2] [NA] This bodykit.......

I see these on eBay, the vary in price from 100 odd quid to near £300.

Has anyone bought, fitted, seen one?

Yes I know you get what you pay for and all that, but just wondered if anyone knows what the deal is on these.

[Mk2] [NA] Rear view mirror probs.

I am pretty sure I am missing something obvious here, most likely as usaul to be honest. But I cannot get this mirror to fit firmly, correctly in my car. The rectangular part at the end of the arm doesn't seem to have anything to attach this with. From memory I seem to remember that there was a meta...
