i thought it was the rev 3 na cams that was an upgrade for a rev1/2 turbo?
Also wasnt it only one of them (cant remember if it was the inlet or exhaust one tho)?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Air con removed..radiator fans on constantly
Very simple. You would normally put a link in that connector to short it so all you do is run a cable to each side of the connector to a one way switch. That way the switch is shorting and unshorting the link which in turn turns the fans on and off. Like i said, if your coolant system is running ok...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Air con removed..radiator fans on constantly
Or you can do what i done and just fit a switch so if your on track or stuck in traffic you can manually override the fans to put them on id rather have it automatically cool the engine as it will be a street car. i wouldn't trust myself to remember to turn the fans on.. but worst case its definite...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS turbo timer installation question(s)?
If so, ive always wondered how much extra a turbo conversion is compared to insuring an oem turbo? And how much extra to add the turbo timer to it? Will vary, but for me it was no different. Makes sense really as there is no functional difference between a conversion and OEM car. Just guessing you ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS turbo timer installation question(s)?
So you told your insurance company already that you fitted it? When its not even working correctly? Mmmmm Actually thinking about it, wasnt this the "dodgy" turbo conversion that was done? In which case im guessing you correctly informed the insurer that it was now a turbo conversion as we...

Re: Markstevieandmads Budget Turbo Project: PART TWO
(Is it Autumn yet?) UPDATE: So on to forge day and i bought some recommended autoglym resin shine polish to try and get the paintwork shiny again. I followed the instructions on the ryobi polisher and it applied the polish well (obviously after a good two bucket wash). However it had no power to buf...

wouldnt it be best to install it properly? But then again, you voided your insurance by installing that unnecessary crap anyway so what does it matter

Re: Fuel pump
nope. Drop the tank, its not as hard as they say. It's a freaking PITA! Not technically complex, but somewhat awkward, at least solo. There was two of us that did it on stands. Undertrays were already off but thats not exactly hard to do. We did it in a few hrs and that was redropping it as we had ...
