Re: Mr2 spider for sale in Japan
If covid hadn't hit I was planning to do a load of trackdays with my mate who i've helped with a bunch of work on his mx5. Also wanted to do a driving holiday especially now I have the aircon working. If I manage to get out on track this year I'm sure I'll change my mind though. Saying that if I had...

Re: Mr2 spider for sale in Japan
Part of me wants to get rid of mine anyway, but then god knows what I'll replace it with. The obvious options (porsche lol) do nothing for me and forget using it on a track. Maybe a GT86, but even then ehhh
Probably wouldn't feel this way if I was able to do something with the damn thing this year.

Re: Clutch bite point changing as engine warms up... Normal for Exedy stage 1?
Exedy stage 1 should pretty much feel like a standard clutch as far as I remember.
Surely the biting point should be fairly low on a new clutch anyway?
I run a twin plate clutch that has a tiny biting point but it doesn't move around

I wondered why they were so sunken in the rear, mine are 9.5j at +35 and while they aren't as flush as the front it's not that noticeable.
I thought your one had a big pull on the rear arches or summat.

Re: sticky gear change
I really fancy the hybrid shifter that hux makes
https://www.huxracing.com/online-store/ ... p122557284
It's the unit that honda k-series guys use, but then you lose the ability to fit a shifter surround also 600 quid lol

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel fitment with Struts Vs Coilovers help?!
I've got a roll on the rear, but I recon you could get away with running a 235 instead of a 245 https://www.instagram.com/p/B9wrohyHM9O/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link You can see my old and new setups, I honestly don't know what springs I'm on but it's not a massive drop. Although I'm happy with how i...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel fitment with Struts Vs Coilovers help?!
Can't help much with the offset as when I was running coilovers I was on 16's which were 7.5j +29 and the clearance between the wheel and the strut was pretty low. Low enough that on track bumping a kerb hard pushed the tyre into the coilover leaving a nice gouge in the sidewall. 8.5j and 9.5j fit +...

I'm steering clear of ally wheelnuts when a few of mine undid themselves on a a track day. Turns out they are a lot easier to thread than the steel ones, they were genuine rays ones too.

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?
Speaking of bolts, my exhaust started getting very loud the last two times I took the car out. Checked underneath and all three bolts from the downpipe to the midpipe were totally gone. Luckily my pal had a couple of M10 bolts that fit, but now I really need a new set of nuts and bolts. It d...

go to imgur.com then upload the photos there and once you've done that there is an option to get share links. Use the ones that say BBCode for forums, paste that link in the post and there you go!

I'd say driftlimits performance if you don't mind going north of the river but I dunno how booked up they are.
Unfortunately I don't know what the prices are like because I've always had rev3 cars with the metal hg sorry!

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?
I'm interested in looking at alternate topmounts, however I think the only non toyota ones are KYB which are probably the oem supplier for the toyota ones anyway. Well I have no experience with top mounts, but I would chance a: Blueprint ADT380502, Japanparts RU-2319 for the front or ADT380505 for ...
