Re: This is bad right?
http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/41/148602.html From my own experience where the OP has rust as bad as that, the sills are dead inside and out. My sponge wasn't half that bad but you can see what the outer sills were like in the link above. I had mine professionally rebuilt - you can do it a lot cheape...

Re: [FINALIZED] Window Rubber seals
Hello mate, I might as well buy up all your old spares
Any idea how old these seals are? I know you had the car garaged when you had it.....
Cheers
Rob (bought the Ohlins coilovers and black interior trim from you in the past)

Re: portable lithium/capacitor starters ?
They are at Lidl this week for £39. Only starts up to 2l petrol and 1.6 diesel but that's fine for my 2 petrol cars.
Apparently the charge holds for about 3 months and it can do 20 jump starts!!!

Also, if you trim the badge down you will most likely have a nice factory fresh area of paint to stand out around your 20x year old sun faded paint!

Re: Tyres & Waxoil
Never buy cheap tyres for a mid engine car, especially a turbo unless you want to hit a kerb or worse. Underseal on an import is sensible as it was never done for japanese market cars but make sure you aren't just putting it over surface corrosion or you will trap it in and incubate it. Also use an ...

Re: [FINALIZED] Genuine set of RAYS TE37 17" 2x8.5 and 2x9.5 staggered fitment
They'll stick out a little but not a huge amount. Welding forged alloys is pretty safe, it's the cast cheaper ones which are an issue as you can't determine the composition of the metal (easily) and so can't weld them with the correct filler wire etc. Plus cast alloys will have impurities and porou...

Re: I'm trying to save this mr2!!
If the throttle stuck when you were driving it sounds like dirt around the TB butterfly plate where it seals against the internal housing chamber.

I run 2 different sets of wheels in different sizes and the problem remains regardless:
17's = 215/40/17 and 235/40/17
16's = 205/45/16 and 225/45/16

Re: Big steering issue!
I've got similar issues, changed everything apart from steering rack. Will get torque settings checked first though. Everything else is brand new with the exception of the rear sub frame track rods that you can't replace the bushes on but I have swapped the while sub frame for another with new tie r...
