Re: I'm coming back (again!)

From my perspective, the running costs of my Rev 3 turbo have been so negligible that it doesn't make economic sense to sell it - I would get a few grand to invest into something comparable performance wise (which at this price point there isn't really anything that has the same characteristics) but...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Anybody using Wilhelm Raceworks Suspension Geometry Kit? Is it worth the money?

No problem! If it's any consolation on the price, the quality really is up there, certainly not a disappointment. If you're interested in any specific photos that aren't on my thread or on his page, just let me know. I got in touch with Alex directly when I was interested and he answered all my ques...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Anybody using Wilhelm Raceworks Suspension Geometry Kit? Is it worth the money?

I have the kit - photos can be seen on my build thread - and I have trial fitted all the components. As you suspected, the fit and finish is absolutely spot on, the only difficulty I had was due to running 16" wheels - which on the rear will require you to grind just a few mm off the lower ball...

Re: rear side window removal.

basically you're all saying i'm heavy handed and broke mine because i'm impatient.. [-( hahaha not at all...I subtly alluded to breaking one of mine when I tried to take one out for the first time and discovered the tint and t-top/hard top issue. It's not a case of heavy handedness, this is a very ...

Re: availbilty of `16" tyres

I've found the KU31 to be very acceptable for general driving, the tread pattern is also very clean (if you care about that sort of thing). You can't push them too hard for very long but they'll take it in short bursts. For the price it's hard to beat them. It's worth remembering that a number of ty...

Re: rear side window removal.

Not to be too contrary...but I've never had any problem removing the quarter windows. You'll have 3 screws underneath the vent and then 3 10mm bolts on the inside to remove. A thin/flexible razor sharp knife used from the inside will then easily cut through the mastic. You'll then need to pull the f...

Driver's side rear outer sill section

Surplus to my requirements now. This piece is an exceptional match to the factory sill profile. In my opinion this is a far better option than the offering from MR2BEN - unfortunately this piece was too short for me to use. Yours for £45 posted. https://i.imgur.com/OZFXWOv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HY...

Re: Tale of two MR2's...Wilhelm Raceworks geometry kit finally fitted

Little update. I finally got round to changing the drivers side sill, as you will see from the photos it wasn't the worst by any means, but it was certainly on it's way and wouldn't have gone through another winter particularly well! https://i.imgur.com/XwLmUj5.jpg The crack I'm trying to show in th...

I have photos of quarter and rear panel replacement I undertook a few years ago, full photos on my build thread but whilst you're here... Re: MR2BEN Sill replacement tips

Thanks, that's what I had imagined.

Sure, easiest way is to create an Imgur account, upload your photos and then copy and paste the forum code from the photos into the text box on here...it's quite intuitive once you've uploaded the photos.

MR2BEN Sill replacement tips

I've started the process of replacing the full O/S sill using the offering from mr2ben. I was wondering if anyone with experience of fitting these would be able to offer any tips...as far as I can tell, the profile is not quite the same as the stock sills? Can I also assume then that no one has trie...

Rev 3 AC pump (R134A) £30

Here's my old Rev 3 AC pump, works absolutely fine...My rad was completely knackered and I prefer windows anyway ;)

It weighs just over 8kg so probably won't send very well...

Re: Alternators - much of a muchness?

Only one I could source a few years ago was 'Vectron' as well. I was very doubtful but justice where it's due she's done about 25-30,000 miles now I would say. Either you got a bad one or I got a good one  I already have a spare rectifier to put in when mine dies, but otherwise I would try and...

Here's a couple of photos of what flocking will look like, marks on it are simply dust...it really shows it up!

Re: Interior trim anyone had this?

There's a few picture on my build thread of the dashboard off the car after it was flocked, I don't think I have any of it in the car though, I'll have a nose when I'm home from work and put one on this thread. I actually had it done by south west flocking in Bristol, they supply flocking services f...

Re: Anyone able to take on my mr2 project? North West area (ol13)

Unfortunately I agree with the above post...all jobs are fixable but you'll be paying considerable labour. To do these jobs justice, if that's the route you want to take, even doing the work yourself you will end up sinking £1500-£1700 on the parts alone. I would really consider selling it as it is ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] -40mm lowering spring reccomendations?

It's really interesting hearing everyones experiences with different manufactures and spring types, really shows how much of a personal preference issue this is and how hard it is to advise. To throw my cents in, I tried a set of D2 coil-overs many years ago, and while corner weighting made a huge d...

Re: Interior trim anyone had this?

I think mine may have been the one you saw Paul! I had it flocked just over 2 years ago now...I think, and the difference it made to glare has been fantastic, only thing I notice now are the de-mister vents which occasionally have a little glare from them. As to durability, it's actually been very h...
