I would have been all over this but sadly I'm moving house that week. I think I'd be in a world of pain attempting a trackday just before moving day lol
Have fun tho, Oulton is awesome

Re: Bimarco Futura Bucket seat with Rogue Motorsport Mounting frame
Super interested in this. Can I ask if it works ok with the OEM seatbelt? I know some bucket seats are a bit dodgy with this but it would be ideal for daily usage otherwise!

Atleast you knew you were pushing hard! The only way to get quicker is to learn the limits of the car
Managed to steal a cheeky pic from Blyton that I found on someones FlickR.

Re: Bedford Autodrome MSV 19th June
I agree that Bedford take the noise limits very seriously, but I've actually been told off for noise there before and still been allowed back on track. They're always going to say its a "one strike and you're out" rule, but for me they held up a big board that said "NOISE" and to...

Re: My White Mk2 NA revision 1
Looks nice! Love a white MR2
Are you planning on getting new tyres for the rev1 wheels? Personally I'd grab some cheap rev2+ 15" wheels or upgrade to 16" and slap new tyres on them.
Toyo T1R are a decent reasonably priced all rounder

Re: Alex's Red Rev5 NA Fast Road/Track
I've posted a link to the video for my trackday at Blyton in the Motorsport/Trackdays section but thought I'd do a little update in here. Video :> www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z3R5fVpF-8&t=63s I'd never done Blyton before but it really is a fun little trackday considering its so flat! I didn't reall...

Cheers, the N/A's really are great value for what they offer in terms of fun and reliability.

I can only Imagine how that went...
For a little circuit in a field it really is quite fun! I think I was pretty much taking Port Froid Flat in 3rd by the afternoon. I don't think I'd be attempting that if I were on Nankang budgets though...

Re: Blyton Park in my Rev5 N/A (onboard footage)
I'm only down the road from blyton, if I'd of known I'd of popped up to have a watch, is there any meets at blyton? Ah I should have put a post up before hand. I'm not sure if there are any meets there but I'l let you know next time I'm down that way. Should arrange some sort of IMOC Trackday. Look...

Blyton Park in my Rev5 N/A (onboard footage)
I've been dying to get this car on a proper open pitlane trackday as I didn't feel like I got enough seat time at Donnington (sessions not open pit). At first I was shocked at the amount of bodyroll it had around Blyton (even with the dampers cracked all the way up), but once I got to grips with it ...

Re: Alex's Red Rev5 NA Fast Road/Track
Unless one is part synthetic and the other is synthetic, i don't see why you're changing you're oil brand :-k The 5w means in fact it would be more effective in colder weather than 10w. Once at optimum engine temp they are doing the same thing. More than likely the 5w40 Motul will be perfectly fine...

Re: Alex's Red Rev5 NA Fast Road/Track
Luckily found some wheels not too far from me with pretty much brand new Yokohama A048 semi-slicks on, all for £180! Gave them a quick blast with satin black paint and threw them on last night. I've also been running 5w40 Motul oil which has been fine but just for peace of mind I swapped it out for ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Wheel nut lengths... again
Cheers dude. Now I look at them again I think they're a combo of rev5 fronts, rev 2 fronts and rears as none of them look like the huge rev5 rear ones
Ideally I want to run the short ones all round to reduce unsprung mass (anal I know!)

[Mk2] [NA] Wheel nut lengths... again
I know the OEM wheel nut lengths vary for different rev wheels, and whether they are front or rear, but does it actually matter which OEM wheel nuts you use where? Only reason I ask is I have some rev2+ OEM wheels with track tyres on but I have a mix of rev2 and rev5 wheel nuts. To me it looks like ...

Re: Rev5 N/A Suspension Upgrade
Its a rev5 n/a i have so not sure if i can rebuild them? I'm 99% sure the rev 5 NA standard shocks are rebuildable. If you're not doing trackdays then I wouldn't be so quick to overlook OEM dampers if they're replaced or in good condition. I personally have Spax PSX adjustable dampers and springs o...

Re: Alex's Red Rev5 NA Fast Road/Track
Managed to carry out a few more track orientated mods this week. Although the MR2 has got fixed towing points on the front I thought I'd chuck a tow strap on just in case the worst should happen on track ha  http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b502/alex_hughes3/MR2%20Rev5/8df11239-83dc-493c-89...

Re: Alex's Red Rev5 NA Fast Road/Track
Realised I haven't updated this at all since I first started it ha! October last year I managed to do a trackday at Donington which is a circuit I've done many times but never in an MR2. I was genuinely surprised how well it did for a relatively stock low powered car on Toyo T1R tyres. I'd fitted a ...

Re: Bedford Autodrome MSV 19th June
Very valuable advice ^^^
I can never find a proper circuit guide to the GT Circuit but I've got a vid from a few years back which should help you learn the track a bit. Not one of my best laps but its a decent camera angle.
