This. I dig it out every year and play it again. Would hate to try and account for the number of hours of my life I've spent playing Generals (I'm not a massive games person)..

The 'Shockwave' mod is pretty good, with new units / abilities etc.

Re: Anyone use 195/50/16 front tyres??

You won't really notice much difference I would have thought, although the 205 may give you better front end grip (tyre dependant!) which eliminates a little of the inherent understeer (a good thing IMO). 195/50/16 is not an overly common size though, so you will have less choice of brands and types...

Re: 17" low profile vs 15" high profile

It depends on alot of factors, but your correct in saying tyre profile is one of the primary factors. Poor quality and / or overly stiff springs plus poorly match / valved dampers (TBH most aftermarket kits are) will ruin ride quality and suspension performance as much as a change to lower profile t...

Re: 8th Official SW20 Big Brake Adapter Kit Group Buy!!

Has anyone weighted the standard vs. big brake discs with respect to weight? I'd expect the difference is probably less than 1kg per corners (incl. brackets).. And I realise its somewhat subjective and dependant on many other factors, but I'm presuming those who have fitted have not noticed any sign...

Re: 3SGTE - Rebuild cost to reach a reliable 450bhp???

If its a track car, and your looking at those sort of costs, I'd be tempted to sell and either buy a car thats already had all the work done (seen a couple of decent race cars for sale recently), or indeed a completely different car.. I have a VX220 in addition to my MR2 now, and really, on a track,...

Hi, sorry folks havent been on here in a while.

I'm going to hold onto it right at the moment until I try a few other potential replacements and decide whats what..

A few recent drives on Highland roads are making it difficult to part with!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] v6 conversion-diy lengthening 5th gear,can it be done?

If its the S54 NA gearbox, then yep, pop over to Twobrutal.com, and you will find Toyota part numbers for an extended 5th gear cluster. Think its around ~£150 for the parts, but apparently its an almost 'must have' option for the V6 conversions, as it allows the slightly shorter 1-4 gears to retaine...

They are slightly lighter yes (I have both sets), but not much in it really, and not noticable on the road.. Biggest difference to weight is probably what tyres are fitted..

EH? ](*,) Go price up just some of the parts involved and the labour to professionally fit, and I'm pretty sure you will well exceed the price being asked..

Re: Steering Wheel Compatibility

Celica and MK3 MR2 are confirmed fitment, although you will need to buy a connector adaptor for the airbag to work (costs less than ~£10). The horn uses a slightly different connector, but easy enough to modify. I'm also fairly certain (although can't confirm) that steering wheels from the Lexus IS,...

Re: Driving an MR2 in snowy/icy conditions.....

Its only unpredictable because you are not used to it :D Theres usually a tendancy to over- correct, which is compounded / magnified on snow as the steering feels very light. Of course the best advice is not to end up in a situation on the road where you have to apply lots of steering correction, th...

Re: Driving an MR2 in snowy/icy conditions.....

I personally really like th MR2 in the snow, but as said above, get some empty car park experience if possible. I also stuck a pair of 225/60/15 Fulda winter tyres on a pair of spare wheels, and although they only had around ~4mm tread on them, they made a massive difference to the way the car could...

Well I took a copper dizzy cap from a Rev 2 Turbo, and fitted to a Rev 4 NA, so in theory it should work if the leads suit the cap type...

The coil / ignitor pack can also wear out causing some of the symtoms you note.

Re: dropping the eninge out

You really either want to remove the subframe first, then lower the engine out through the bottom (obviously). It can stay on, but I find it get in the way, and its only four bolts... If the engine is being shipped, things like driveshafts and subframe will need to be removed anyway. I'd definately ...
