Re: [FINALIZED] 1996 Rev3 Turbo Tintop Import - Toms, Chargecooled, 293bhp, REDUCED
Having seen this car when the previous owner had it I can confirm it's a good one, however the faded paint makes it look really sad and neglected. If you spent an afternoon with a DA polisher, or paid ~£150 for a pro to do a single stage machine polish, along with some new pics then you'll probably ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel nut thread engagement
@lee, yeah mate, been cat B for a while now, still hating it ð. Mr2 is long gone but I still drop in now and again. The only extended studs that fit properly are the arp ones (arp 100-7715), I've installed a couple of sets. I had a really nice set of black open ended RAYS chromoly steel nuts too,...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel nut thread engagement
On steels of comparable strength there should be thread engagement of at least the diameter of the stud for stud and nut fasteners. I.e an M12 stud should have at least 12mm of thread engagement. The MSA call for 1.5x the stud diameter for wheel nuts, so a 12mm stud would need 18mm of thread engagem...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Brake slider boots dont fit?
It does look like the old metal base is still in there (I've made the same mistake myself) give that a few taps with a screwdriver/chisel and a hammer and see if it pops out

You haven't got the remains of the old slider boot metal base still in the carrier, have you? (It certainly looks like it)

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Get a bike, you won't regret it.. people always use the 'mrs won't let me have one' or 'i'd kill myself because I already drive too fast' excuses but I've found I'm more observant, calculated and risk averse on my bike than I ever was/am in a car And there's the bonus that for the cost of a half dec...

Re: Stock front wheel studs - length??? Mines mysteriously changed size!
Can't help with stock length but if you're looking for new long studs that aren't Chinese eBay rubbish then you want ARP studs, part number ARP 100-7715, I've found H-tune to be the cheapest UK source I wonder how the other ones disappeared though? Imagine if they were stolen from your car while yo...

Re: Fuel injector size to big???
ID1000 injectors were de capped and flow matched Bosch OEM injectors, the new ID1050x injectors are Bosch Motorsport. MS2 is not necessarily a home build ECU, it is available ready made, and has many more features than a PFC for less money - knock control for one.. which some people don't even have ...

I have a Rev 3 NA inlet cam in the garage should you be interested, they are 12 degrees longer duration (252 vs 240) and 1.1mm more lift (9.8 vs 8.7) than a stock Rev 3 turbo inlet cam

Re: Bimarco Futura Bucket seat with Rogue Motorsport Mounting frame
This is My old seat.. I'm 6'2" and a 34" waist and it was a perfect fit for me,
I paid £300 for the seat (although they're a bit cheaper now) and about £120 for the rogue mount, it covered about 2000 miles on the road and hasn't been involved in any accidents etc.

Looking good mate, glad it went to a good home!
Get the harness unclipped from the firewall and posted through the slot in the seat though, it's not safe where it is now.
P.S you're selling the bucket seat far too cheap too
