Re: TOMS LIGHT WEIGHT TURBO FLYWHEEL RARE £189 inc post
Unless you're running a super cammed poor idling car it would be fine surely? Flywheels don't give torque

Dont bother with WI unless you're getting it mapped in. If it's not mapped in, it just arses around with your power and kills torque.

a 28 frame turbo will struggle to get you there, a GT3076 sized turbo would be better imo

People are often guided (incorrectly) that an overbore is needed.
Try and go 86mm if you can - that's by far the best bet for longevity

Re: Ct20b
If you're running a 20b on a Rev2 block then you'll want to upgrade the HG to a steel one if running 1bar boost etc, plus injectors etc. It's worth doing the whole rev 3 conversion for the cost.
The ct20b is so underrated for an old turbo, really great.

Re: Shane's rev 5 turbo,mapped 569 BHP, For Sale
I think the other factor is linked with the PCP, and new cars now can have huge power hikes just from a cheap generic downloaded map which increases boost on these cars and gives you a much faster car. Kinda sad to realise that the glory days are over, even down to the fuel when E10 comes in which w...

A little
There's another MR2 coming up for sale in spring that smacks the pants off any other MR2 I've seen, if only I had enough for that.

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
I hope so! In the end I didnt get a caterham as they were just too expensive, but I did at least get myself a Clio 182 which is now the track slag. Not the fastest in the world but keeps up with much bigger powered cars and takes relentless abuse well. I'm hoping this year to cover off the rest of t...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Yeah I don't know what happened, Dan sold it on and bought a Maserati instead. I spoke briefly to the new owner who had a few questions but that was it. I'm really hoping it's just had a plate change and not been written off or broken up for parts, I put in over £18k into that car over 4 years and i...
