Unfortuantely its not just the caps that cause the issues.
They leak and corrode the tracks so 9/10 you will have to repair tracks too.

Id replace the ignitor.

Also if its a rev 2 turbo then check ecu for leaking caps

If your going coilovers then id go for a polybush kit. If you was keeping standard suspension then maybe standard bushes but i cant see the point if going coilovers anyway My reasons would be better qaulity then lowering springs in my opinion and Adjustable ride height to my likening. If your going coilovers then id go for a polybush kit.

UPDATE: So as the weather was ok and the missus was away on her hen do, i decided to have a go at retrimming the door cards. I bought a can of contact adhesive from screwfix for £3.99 and stripped the passenger side door card off. (sorry got no pics of the dismantling) The alcantara style door cards...

You can tell the difference.
Rev 1/2 has a air flow meter by the air filter and rev 3 has t

Also the inlet manifolds are different. Google wiill help with pics.

Im wondering if the thermostat had failed so when replaced it now has air in the system.

Id give the whole system a good flush and the make sure its properly bled

Sounds like the fluid was boiling to me.

Refresh the clutch fluid and while your at it replace the line for a braided one.

My turbo did the same on track and once i did the above i never have another problem

bridge fp and b+ on diag port to bypass fuel pump relay.

If that dont work then put 12v directly to fuel pump under the ash tray.

If that still doesnt work then fuel pump is knackered

Threads like these do make me laugh!!! These cars are like 25yrs old so they are never gonna be quiet lol Is a noisy fuel pump really a problem? I mean the rest of the car is creaking and banging so is it really that big a problem? Im running a walboro and i dont notice the noise so i must be going ...

you say your running it up and down the road - are you making sure the car is normal working temp and not cold when boosting as it will hold back for this.
