Re: Booked car in to local Toyota dealer....

Where are you located? There's bound to be an MR2 specialist nearby that could do this for you at a much better rate and with much better quality.

Re: New MR2 owner, need some advice

I cant fault the MR2 either. I've had mine for nearly 3 years now and only had to do basic services to keep it running sweet as a nut. Obviously I've upgraded things here and there but thats a given with a car like this!

Sounds like yours is a Revision 3. Bilstein suspension comes as standard also as far as I'm aware...

Re: Very bad Toyota!

My local Toyota dealership hasn't a clue about MR2's. I took it in for a coolant change when I first got the car for peace of mind and left it there from half 9 in the morning. Came back at half 5...cars parked up in the space where I left it. Go into the guy at reception. Ask him how much I owe him...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What turbo do you run?

Sounds like your in the exact same position I'm in mate. I've got a GT2860RS turbo sitting at home along with a 38mm Tial wastegate. Have done the head gasket, have a clutch waiting to go in but I just need to get the rest of the ancillaries sorted out. Oil lines, adaptor, etc. Not really sure what ...

Re: Fell victim to the snow this evening

Had to drive 40miles myself in the snow on Monday. It was bloody horrible. Hate driving the 2 in these conditions but I have no choice really. Had to get home...

Here's hoping there's not too many more incidents...

Re: Insurance in Ireland

Unfortunately Ollie you're bang on. The majority of cars over here are insured as standard...

Incidentally I'm also with Quinn. I was insure with them while I lived in England too. They were almost a grand cheaper than the next best company!

Re: Engine Shroud with Dual 11" Spals

Have mine fitted and running. Will get some pictures when the weather improves and I have time to clean it. The fans themselves have stopped working though. Would it have anything to do with the rain? I suspect its a loose connection somewhere so next time I have a chance I'll look for it. Hopefully...

Re: Engine Shroud with Dual 11" Spals

Anyone interested should definitely take Graeme up on this offer. It's an absolutely cracking bit of kit and I've noticed a big drop in engine bay temperature. You can feel the heat being thrown out when you get into the car! :D
