problems starting when hot
im having problems starting my 2 when its hot if i take it for about a thirty mile drive the car does not over heat runs ok but if i turn it off for a few mins then go to restart it nothing. The car still turns over but will not fire and stinks of fuel i have stripped the car down this morning clean...

After having an engine change in my 2 it seems to be driving fine and going ok but if i stop quick the car stalls on me the car ticks over around 900 -1000 rpm when i put it into drive it drops to around 750rpm which all seems ok so if anyone can shed any light on why its cutting out or how to adjus...

ok here goes. I fitted the torque conveter today and i put it on the shaft and turned it. it clicked twice and dropped down into the gearbox. The shaft in the middle of the torque converter is now flush with the outside of the bell housing if i but a straight edge across the lot! Anyone able to help...

so is it just case of putting it on the shaft and then turn it untill you hear the three licks or is it a case of turn it as your sliding it on?

thanks for the reply and thats what i have been thinking that the chassis is the same for holes etc and yes it would be a good project and one i would certainly like the challenge of.
ill have both cars sat side by side for the transplant so ecu drive shafts etc is no problem.

hi there i drive a mk2 in black and must admit i stoppeed in the route 38 cafe on friday and you cant argue with the food or service we recived first class.
