Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] my Monster Chargecooler build! FINISHED!!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Intercooler spray query
about a foot before the TB, and also pre turbo.
Pre turbo is controversial, but read here
http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/sho ... .php?t=251
my own take on it? It works, and it works really well.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Intercooler spray query
not much point in the other tbh. the chemical intercooling effect from water/meth is brilliant. I only get a few degrees above ambient at 2 bar on a GT35.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Garrett Turbo Recomendations required befor purchase
no idea on power, it's nippy is all I know. rying to find somewhere local to hire a dyno to finish the ignition timing off. I run a mix of 80% super to 20% methanol - much cheaper than race fuel. A 1 ton cube of reagent grade methanol is only £280 at my local chemical suppliers. I should add it's no...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Flared/rolled arches
I bought an arch roller on ebay for less than those companies charge to roll a set of arches.
Its pretty easy to do, I used a heat gun to stop the paint cracking (Ive since been told this is hit and miss anyway)
Can fit 255/45 x 16 under the rear now. Usually run 245/45 x 16 Kumho V70A in medium.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Garrett Turbo Recomendations required befor purchase
I've a GT3582r with the 0.82A/R exhaust housing and a ported compressor housing (The single best bit of it as I get no annoying surge any more) running at 2 bar and it's great fun tbh. All home made and tuned. Couple of pics from a recent car show http://fttm.co.uk/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/SA...
