Re: What BHP are CT20b's good for??
[quote="karldavies"] I hear it boosts well right up to the redline as aposed to 5k rpm like the 26. Is this true? Whats the lag on it like compared to the 26?[/quote] Is it rue they they will only hold upto 5k on the rev meter??? If so that means that my old rev2 tubby (only sold today) ha...

Re: Booked car in to local Toyota dealer....
oh yeah, i think that each Toyota centre charge different labour rates...i know Nottingham Toyota Inch-Cape was £90 a few years back.....and the real trick was telling me that both jobs that needed 'urgent' attention on my old rev3 n/a, the emissions & brakes (both of which turned out to be comp...

Re: The importance of coolant colour?
Virtually all of the guides to buying an MR2 say check its got the pink antifreeze in, which i think is the long life stuff, but it can looks orangey aswell. And for the record, i have had a few coolant changes on my MR2 at Rogue, who everyone regards highly as they do know their stuff, and they use...

Re: Booked car in to local Toyota dealer....
just out of interest, what exactly are you going to get for your £350???? New oil and filter, air filter (if standard), fuel filter???? Let us know what they find fault with, as in the above link, they will try to tell you that your car is a death trap and then give you a list of faults with brakes ...

Re: Very bad Toyota!
one of my previous MR2's failed its mot on brake discs and emissions, with Toyota quoting me a MINIMUM £1100 for it to pass the MOT, so told them where they could stick it....took it to anohter test station who said the brakes were fine. sounds like Toyota are just on the make, and im sure alot of p...

Re: cold start cutting out help please
it'll be a cold start sensor...same happened to mine when i got it. I think there are 2 sensors, one at around £13 and one nearer £30.... typically mine was the more expensive one.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Which sensor do i need?
dan i think that Camskill have marked it up wrong on their website, they must mean nov 93 (which is when the rev3's started). I'd give them a call.... ....for the continuity of the thread my hesitation issues were solved by tweaking the idle control screw on the AFM to make it run a little bit riche...

Re: Why should i buy a rev3 rather than a rev1 or 2?
I keep contemplating chucking in my rev2 tubby for a rev3, but whats holding me back (apart from the work ive put into it already) is that all the differences are interchangable (ie, turbo, afm, ecu, spoiler) apart from the grey area that is MOT emmisions testing (cat or non-cat). Maybe someone coul...

Re: forlife colours
when Rogue put on my radiator recently they used a blue/green coolant antifreeze, so i wouldnt worry about the colour so much.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Which sensor do i need?
The car has been feeling lumpy until fully warmed up for a few months now, and will really hesitate when getting anywhere near boost for the first 20 mins of driving, and seems to be taking longer to warm up.... So im goin to order a water temp sonsor from camskill to see if it helps, but which one ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gearbox/driveshaft problem
sounds like when my driveshaft went on my old rover. was just pulling out onto a busy 3 lane roundabout at rush hour and bang.......no power to the wheels and just rolled casually to a halt in the middle of all this traffic. As you said, engine running fine, would go into gear, but lost all its go (...
