Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine rebuild - Do it yourself ?

They built my new head up complete with a skim, acid-dip and all the machining to fit my high-lift cams and Colin who works there built my engine originally when he worked for Kent Car Craft and it hasn't ...

I'm after a good car cover for my SW20 for the winter, can anyone recomend me one that will fit well and not scratch the paintwork at all?

Cheers!

Re: Check This MR2 out - how do i get mine to sound like that.

Cheers Steve, a screamer pipe... Ill do a search about them now. Would it be difficult to fit one to my motor? Im running a Rev 2 with 3" downpipe and upped boost. Stock CT26 Turbo. Cheers :) You need a turbo with with an external wastegate, so know it wouldn't be difficult, but it would cost ...

Re: [All] [Turbo] boot mount or st205 c/c

Check out my set-up: 442FWHP on a GT3071r with a bootmount (well, ar$e mount) You don't necessarily have to lose your boot if it's well designed. I cannot really comment on lag as I've always had the IC as long as I've had the turbo, but a mate of mine has the ST205 on a stock turbo but said once fi...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] what power will my rev 2 gts make before i have to start replacing internals?

Then it's turbo, a CT26 hybrid or bigger if you can pick up one second hand? I agree with the ecu/intercooler/boost controller but you would be better looking for a second hand turbo kit... ...isn't that what I said? lol :eye: Keep an eye on the for sale section, there's always decent intercoolers ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] what power will my rev 2 gts make before i have to start replacing internals?

What boost controller and engine management do you have? I assume the ECU is stock so that would be your next step. What about intercooler? Again, if stock, then put this next on your list. Always plenty of decent second hand ones for sale on here, that'll see your cooling sorted up to around 350bhp...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Id hose/boost gauge

yeah, boost gauge. 5m? that not too much, the car is only 3m long. Yes, but what about running it from the dash, down behind the stereo, along the transmission tunnel, to one side, through the grommit, nice and neatly up under an inspection panel and to the inlet manifold? You may not need exactly ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bong bonger? - or reminders if you're posh. Stopped working

Just remove your stereo/cubbyhole and behind the heater controls is the unit, unplug it.

Job done.

The light reminder buzzer is behind the cig lighter, fixed to the framework of the dash. Although I'd recommend leaving this as you don't want to end up with a flat battery!
