Re: [Mk2] [NA] How do you test a battery drain?
Does the green light around the ignition barrel go out when car is locked?mine doesn't and that causes a drain. Apart from that if you check the manual for the wiring diagram for the dome circuit and then just go through a process of elimination from the start of the circuit to the end by substituti...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What metal HG?
Hi mate
I put a metal HG on my 2 last year, i waited until i had the head off the car before buying one and checked the condition of the head first.
Mine needed skimmed which meant i needed a thicker gasket i also put a thicker one on than needed as i was going for higher boost,

chassis no.
Hi mate
If you've got an MOT certificate for it, it's on that, if not it's in front of your spare wheel in the front on a small
plate and should be stamped into the bulkhead behind the brake fluid resovoir

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Paddle clutch... VERY noisy!
Are you sure it's not a twin plate clutch, they make a grinding rattle when pedal is depressed, if it is a paddle clutch sounds like the release bearing might be on it's way out
