intake manifold is easy, just pull the rubber pipe off and measure it. if you give me your address i will send you a bulb so you can match it.

i use a sniff test as well, as paul states it is not 100% accurate but for most its the best we have.
if you could knock up one of your special tools when you have a minute you biscuit tin would be overflowing for a month or two. :lol:

with these engines it is almost never that you get a water to oil failure. the mayo will just be the damp.( i will now be proved wrong #-o )

try another factor. eurocarparts can get them same or next day. its the rears that need to be ordered then its only a few days.

is it all or some of the light. the warning lights will be on different circuits to the main dash lights that go on with the driving lights. can you be a bit more specific. what about the clock?

yes that "mechanically perfect" engine was far from that. leaks at the distrubutor, oil cooler, clutch housing weeping oil(oil seal?), sump plug leak. oil seal on drivers side of the diff leaking, passenger side drive shaft boot not secured, drive shaft nuts rounded off. reverse gear senso...

number 2 is the one for me. work it out you will get £100 for the wheels, £10 bonnet badge, £50-60 for a good wing thats just the start so its worth a punt. you may be lucky and pick up a real bargain. as it stands its got to be worth a couple of hunder even if its a dog. i`d give you £200 as a non ...

yep the gaskets gone big style. dropped redmk1 a pm and got a reply, i am not first in the queue. #-o so anyone else know where there is a low mileage engine to be had? With Krista`s bad luck i want to put in a good one that will last. I do have an engine but its got average miles on it and is fine ...

a head gasket would normally be white smoke. it does however seem a bit nasty. if its your gasket, i can do a sniff test, then you are better off getting a second hand engine. if you want a price for supply and fit or just fit then pm me.
