Re: recomendations for clutch on a v6 conversion please!

Around 160quid. I cant be sure but I think it was these guys who I got it off of www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/ Turnaround was a few days. Just checked their website and they still say they make clutches but couldn't find a link. Unfortunately you won't get a non custom paddle clutch for the na gearb...

Whatever you do, don't skimp on the clutch! Especially if You enjoy launching. I went with a c-one turbo flywheel, exedy stage 2 pressur plate and had a custom 6 paddle friction plate 5sfe made. It's solid!!

Re: mr2 insurance

very interesting thread imho. since studying insurance in law school (going back to 2008/2009), there were rumours that insurance law was going to get a revamp because of how onerous it was/is on the customer; "full disclosure of material facts" being that exact thing that Peter mentioned....

Re: Refurbishing a set of Rays TE37's - Which colour to go with?

what ever you decide, get the wheels painted.. DO NOT powder coat.. sorry for the shout there but , powder coating these forged magnesium wheels makes the metal brittel and they will crack or eveb worse shatter.. Ive seen few pics online of wheels that ended up breaking after powder coat Rays are f...

Re: Suspension replacement advice...

Had BC's right when they came out(when the name was apex) must be about 2 years ago now maybe longer. Had them for about a year I think. They were good but I would get them set up as soon as they've been fitted and get the height set and grease the struts/adjustment rings or they will become solid! ...

Re: 3SGE N,A Tuning

hey man looked into exactly what you are talking of years ago and I appreciate what your wanting. I, like you, am an NA man for many reasons. 3 engines later the truth is that all the thousands you spend on chasing figures just wont compare to the torque and easy progressive power of a v6. my two pe...

Re: Legal advice - NEW DEVELOPMENTS - Further Update!

people like that annoy me! he wont get anything off the mot garage as they can simply say what happens after the mot test is outwith their control (ie decat fitment) its like buying anything used - you cant go crying to your mamma when it goes wrong. ive read cases in my legal training where even tr...

Re: TOYO R1Rs!! there AWSOME!!!

Hey man finally found someone who's bought the R1R's! I chose the AD08's for my Lupo Gti and although I've not pushed them yet (weather is horrible n my suspension needs changed), they definetly feel nice - better than my re040s anyway! very stiff sidewalls which i like, compared the the t1rs i had ...

i cant get rid of mine but i take it off the road every half year or so with bits broken - jump back into my sensible lupo gti, then as time passes i just miss the mr2 cabin, the torque and noise of the v6 and the launching power! arghhh i miss it already

Re: turbo or v6??

daym man I'm looking forward to seeing these ^^ in the flesh!

imho I chose v6 for reliability as I'd been stung with so many issues on my 3sfe and 3sge engines. I also like the idea of having a smoother torque and powerband - really helped when I was dicking with the drifters last summer at crail!
