I was wondering this exact same thing earlier this week (for my rev 2 tubby). Still rolling with the original airbox but interested to know what's out there! I'm a big fan of RHD Japan - and think they have the usual options (Blitz, Apexi etc.)
I replaced the one in my rev 2 turbo earlier in the summer with an aftermarket one from Paul at TCB. Think it was about £120 - and it's been good so far!
Interesting! over 10 years on, and I'm back to square one - looking at coilovers again for the tubby I picked up last December. I think I'd be keen on getting the BCs again - this time with the adjustable/pillowball top mounts. and make sure the threads are properly coated/protected because I do rec...
I've got an unknown plate-type LSD in my rev3 turbo so I'm using Comma LS80W-90 which is specifically designed for gearboxes with plate LSDs and is less than half the price of the MT90 that everyone always bangs on about. I tried MT90 first but the LSD engaged so harshly and so noisily that I actua...
Sorry: forged wheels crack they don't just bend/buckle......cast wheels bend/buckle My Regas were repairedd back in the summer and one had a very minor buckle. The point I was trying to make (after several beers!) was that just because you're buying forged wheels, doesn't mean they aren't going to c...
forged wheels crack they don't bend/buckle......cast wheels bend/buckle. so all those arguments about owning te37s because they won't end up snapping...well its bull$h1t. Proof of this - i own forged wheels which have cracked and one of my mates smashed a pothole with a forged wheel and the wheel sp...
x2 on the Mothers stuff - it is outstanding.
For compounding/polishing, 3M Fast Cut and for finishing, 3M Finesse it, are both the best - I'm not a pro but I've compounded my car post 2 resprays and find that 3M works better than anything with a rotary.
Nankangs and Wanlis used to be laughed at but I know people who have ran them and not complained. It's all about comparison and confirmation bias I bet you the people who have not complained about budget brands have a) never driven a car on decent tyres and b) will of course say the tyres are good ...
I'd say around 5k maybe a bit more but no chance it was near 10. Basically they lasted me about a year at a time which was just insanely expensive considering it was £320 for 15"s for my daily. No question about it they are top quality tyres - probably the best for daily use in all conditions ...

I've been through 8 on my daily and they do wear fairly quickly with daily use. Brilliant in the wet and were actually OK in the snow but heard that they aren't effective under -8. could be bull$h1t though!
Where I disagree is running a different profile up front than rear. I run 205/45/16 T1Rs up front and 225/45/16 FK452s at the rear and both are at the end of their life almost. With stiff shocks, s-techs, braces and a full susp setup, on flat ground, the car is incredibly predictable at the limit. ...
 Well given I then went on to explain the functional reasons for my tyre choice we'll gloss over that hungover, pre-breakfast oversight. :thumleft: Why are you going for a 195 btw? I always found having a 195 up front gave gobs of understeer ruining the sharp turn in characteristics of the car...
Evening folks Anyone know if these exist or if anyone can make them. Maybe I need to change my driving style but that is me sheered the drivers driveshaft now after I sheered the P/S one in the summer. both times I was carrying a heavy load and launching/sliding/drifting/quarter miling. Should say I...
I'm running 225/45/16s fk452s but could never get them in 205/45/16 hence why i run shitey toyos up front.
Think the fk453s are out so I'd try them for more variety in size

Also what are you turbo/2gr/na boys (and girls) all running? My m...
