Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dashboard removal ... has anyone done it?

Good news is I have finally gotten round to putting the dash in, bad is that I lost the cable for my phone so couldn't upload any pictures of before/after, so thanks then to BLZ for posting his :D It is actually a lot easier than it looks once you know where all the screws bolts and things are. Drop...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] LED replacement dash lighting ... help?

I was desperate to get the car back into a working order, so I just bought standard bulbs and replaced everything that was in my clocks. Sods Law states that next week, one of my old bulbs would have blown and I would have had to take it all out again to fix it. On a happy note they are brighter tha...

Congratulations, you set an example to us all with your undertaking skills... :roll: I also like the way you instantly assume it would be a "guy". If I saw you drive off the road doing that I wouldn't stop either. The guy looked fine, i think it was just his pride and car was all that was...

Re: Overtaking on the left - illegal or not?

One (and maybe only) situation where it is legal to overtake on the left is on a two-lane one-way street. The one-way system in Bedworth behind Tesco is a classic example, at the junction traffic can turn left or right. However people new to the area still get into the left lane and then indicate ri...

Re: Come on who was it? Spinny Spinny down the bank in Odiham, Hampshire.

sorry, but , you're a to$$er. You slowed down to his pace, (therefore, he was travelling at a more sensible speed for conditions), you tailgated him, baited him for a race. He eventually (a roundabout and a bit of road later) had got bothered enough to try and lose you - in his inexperience/ frustr...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] UK dash lights

I've seen that orange light come on once in my car, but how can that be if there is no bulb behind it? :shock: *EDIT* Just took all my bulbs out my clocks and held it up to the light. The orange oil can is below the red battery and red oil can symbols in the left cluster. There's also an ABS but tha...

Thanks for the link ...

Think I'll forget about messing with resistors and LEDs and all that.

Back to standard bulbs.

[Mk2] [Generic] LED replacement dash lighting ... help?

Hi, this has probably been covered a hundred times but every time I try searching it comes up with either an error or hundreds of unrelated posts. So I'm getting desperate now... Dash is in bits and I want to replace the 5 large bulbs that are in the back of the clocks. I know some of you have used ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] UK dash lights

Here's a quick shot of my clocks circuit. 1991 Rev 1 N/A UK. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/deadlyrs125/Image003.jpg There isn't a hole in the circuit for a bulb ... but you can feel a hole under the plastic. I assume some models had something that lit up, but not this one. *EDIT* Funny thing...

Small world, it was Parenthesis, and we've got one of their staff working for us now :D

We also do work for Advent, the boss is wondering who you are. Did you ever come to Earlsdon to a printers based near the City Arms?

We used to do business with a company of graphic designers round by the Canal Basin...

You may have seen my dark blue MR2 with tinted glass around, I used to go home that way depending what shift I was on.

Its in Holbrooks, couple of miles out of the city centre. I've seen a lot of MR2s around but none of them are members it seems, you'll be lucky to get a nod or a flash of the headlights, some right miserable sods around ... :( *EDIT* website with postcode and phone numbers below http://www.justmr2br...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dashboard removal ... has anyone done it?

Sorry for not doing the pics just yet, its been a nightmare trying to fit the black dash. Trouble is, the tilt-lever on the steering column gets in the way. Does anyone know how to disconnect or move it? Or should I have a look at moving the entire steering column? One more thing, dash plastic is ve...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fag lighter

I'm assuming the smaller plug was for the bulb, this car never had a light in the lighter surround and I figure thats what the plug is.

So I need to get the bulb and bulb holder for mine.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] goodbye front undertray! get it sorted

Mine came off my first MR2 on the M6 at about 2am, scared the life out of me cos I didn't know it had undertrays, only had it a couple of weeks before it happened.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fag lighter

Wiring for the lighter itself is:

black/white = ground
white = power

Wiring for the bulb:

black/white = ground
green = power
