Re: [Mk2] [NA] MR2 with 150dB train horns.....
I'd love to have had these last week, some dopey Beemer woman jumped a red light, then found she had nowhere to go as the traffic had all queued up in front of her and she ended up in a yellow box that should be kept clear ... She didn't even look round at all the cars she was holding up. Imagine bl...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Cubby Box Lighting Project - now two-coloured ...
I think he was kidding - for some reason the glovebox was lighting but the cubby box wasn't. Turned out there just wasn't enough charge to run both, funny you'd think that LEDs would have at least some glow to them if you gave them a bit of power, but these ones were totally dark. Unless he really i...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] CLOCK LED, Possible GB on RED/BLUE ACRYLIC PRE-CUT FACES
I followed your link and got me a sheet of clear red for my clock.
Forgot to show you earlier.
Will it cut with a junior hacksaw? Or should I score it deeply and snap it?
I'll also have a lot left over, so will be doing the same share/pass-it-on kind of thing, soon as I've used what I need.

My next mod is to fit another battery in the boot   Didn't get chance to take any more pictures Geoff as my battery was flat, but thanks you did a good job :thumleft: No worries mate, was a nice little project and the results were pretty good. Not a bad bit of work :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Cubby Box Lighting Project - now two-coloured ...
There's another thread but its basically just an "After" picture. Same method - get a strip of LEDs from Maplins (I got white for the glovebox) and wire it to a live like the door courtesy light, so when you open the door the LEDs light up. Or find a tiny pin-switch to put in the loom and ...

Yep Trevor's gone the blue route for his lighting, I prefer the red as it shows a bit more, mind you when I was in Maplins there were some very nice green ... got me thinking hmmmm ....

Re: rev counter with security light
Mine's got it. Pain really, as when I got my Speedhut dials, there wasn't a hole. I had to add loads of extra double side tape to make that area stick down securely. You can see the bulge from the side, but not when driving. Mine's a Rev 1. Pic of before I installed Speedhut dials. http://i69.photob...

Hi Since I did my glovebox light mod the other month, I've been thinking of doing my cubby box. My PS2 ports are installed in it though, so taking it all out is a pain and I hadn't bothered doing it ... .. until today  BLZ-8027 offered his car as a donor so I took a little trip over to see what...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Washer Pump
Yes the original post has gone ... You need to 1) Take off front drivers wheel 2) Remove wheel arch liner 3) Disconnect the motor plug, pull the pump off the bottle - watch out for a flood of diluted screen wash 4) Take the rubber grommet thing off the pump, or pull it out of the washer bottle 5) Go...

Cleaning, Waxing and Detailing Sub Forum?
Hiya I was just thinking, would it be any good to have a sub forum dedicated to cleaning, detailing, waxing etc etc. I know people have posted pics of their clean engine bays and others start asking questions about how they got them so shiny etc, and personally I have gone through a few products to ...

Re: Silver with black roof, Bedworth
Blimey. I had the same sort of idea, but different. Basically as I work in a printing firm I could put together little folded leaflets with an IMOC sticker in, and then - if you actually see someone getting out of their pride and joy in a car park or wherever, if you thought they looked the type, gi...

I know that. . . . . now
I'll get a pic of it, I keep wanting to stop and leave an IMOC sticker under his wiper.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] clonking / cracking brakes (front NS/FS) -one for the experts I think
I spent a bomb on trying to find out the clonking and knocking from the front of my car - about £450 worth of work.
Bought droplinks from ebay and had them put on for about £25 labour and totally quiet
