Toyota make a SST for checking the pressure. It bolts on top of the fuel filter outlet.
Still sounds like a pump to me!
Checked your vid's BTW, they're exactly the same as my engine and I KNOW my problem is fuel related as the fuel pressure is 10-20psi base and it should be 36psi at least!
Stiggy, thanks for response. Interesting. It really only leaves fueling or electrical issues now. Was you car Completely undrivable??? I've swapped in another rail with injectors, so my fpr has to be ok, unless I got 2 duff ones which is unlikely! I think I really need to be looking at fuel pump no...
I've got exactly the same problem at the moment. I'm running a ST205 on the standard ECU and injectors. I had my fuel pump replaced about 2 weeks ago, and the car ran fine for a week. Then, a few days ago I got the exact same thing as you: From absolutely nowhere, the car suddenly felt very hesitant...
......... apparantly r888 are too grippy for the dyno so on normal tyres, figures would be slightly ...... huh? I'd love to hear the science behind this :thumleft: The higher grip level will increase the losses between flywheel and the road/rollers. For the same reason you can actually get a signif...
Must say, you really shouldn't be putting anything but V Power in your car in the first place, but you really REALLY shouldn't be boosting hard without it!
It's everywhere else I would think they'd be a bit of a nightmare. Imagine having to drive for a few hours to get TO a track. :-k Why? They seemed pretty comfortable to me. Seats that help hold you in position when you are going for it are not necessarily uncomfortable on longer journeys. They are ...
If you're only looking for 300atw, have you considered a brand new standard bottom end pre-built from Toyota? All you'll have to do is skim the head and bolt it on with a new gasket (and maybe uprated head studs?) and you're good to go. You're looking at £1200ish direct from Toyota, and it should la...
My Dastek was £600 + I had to buy a boost controller. The gain was about 30 odd bhp. It's a shame there's no direct plug in with a preset gain for the tubby. It would be nice to buy a rev 3 in standard nick, pay a couple of hundred quid and KNOW it would be about 280bhp. Thats a good power to have....
It's not that he doesn't want to sell these ECU's himself that bothers me - it's perfectly understandable given the amount of effort involved in hand modifying and testing stock ECU's and given all the things that can go wrong in selling these for what will be a small return per unit. But by not pu...
never gona happen bump! Another one for good luck. If only it would happen :( Telling people about something should only be done when what you have for sale to the community is almost ready, not 10 years before you can be bothered releasing it. I've sent the developer a few pms myself and to be fai...
No. I didnt do any in a carpark but I was told had I not "got it" in my first lesson I would have started there. What you dont get is that learner cars are marked up, every one on the road should know to stay away AND they are generally crawling along. You're talking about intense driving...
In Bristol they pull over moped riders, make then ride to the station and then do a full test on them, even putting them on a mini-dyno to ensure they're still restricted!
They don't tend to bother with cars though, presumably the hit rate is a bit too low for it to be worthwhile.
Like Lauren, I've been lucky enough to own both and ITR and various models of MR2 (both MkI/MkII). I also am of the opinion that even though the MR2 is a great car, the ITR is without doubt, more of a drivers car. Feedback, throttle response and handling are far superior to that of the MR2. However...
Obviously, but the reality is most roundabouts have islands in the middle and most bends you cant see round so you cant "sight" the corner in most instances. I know the ITR's turn in is it's strength - it's the reason its so quick on track but the POINT is that you cant use that safely on...
I didn't say FWD cars cant be good, and I intend to drive one this weekend. However, simple laws of physics dictate it would have been better if it were RWD. Therefore, it IS a foible of the car. The only way you can drive quickly and safely on the road is slow in, power on early and fast out. The ...
