Re: Brake hardlines and flexi hoses.... help required!

Thanks for the info abovetherim, most appreciated. I've been down to my garage today for another chat. The current hardline on both sides have the restrictor valve which we can't figure out. It seems my only 'full' solution is to pay for new (secondhand) oem hardlines then get the standard rear Good...

Brake hardlines and flexi hoses.... help required!

Hey all, hoping somebody here can help me out. The car in question is a UK spec Rev1 n/a. No ABS. So I've been told by my local garage my rear Flexi hoses are chaffed and rubbing as they are not properly secured so I've been looking to change them. My problem is that when I first got Rogue to fit th...

MK2 Rev1 .... What paint?

As above really. Thinking about getting round to a respray this year and just wondering if the original paint is cellulose? Or something else with a cellulose clear coat? ... Or not cellulose at all and no clear coat either? Anyone know what paint regime Toyota used in '91 so I can get it redone the...

Re: Better top mounts for 98 mr2?

You can buy NOS TRD top mounts from Fensport still for less than the price of new oem ones. Well, certainly the fronts (the fronts are the same throughout the revs and compatible with all struts as far as I'm aware). I know because my parents live in Chatteris (the town Fensport are based) and I wen...

Re: New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

To be honest no. The top mounts have gone and do need changing and since I haven't got the room or tools to do stuff myself (nor the skill sets) whilst the garage are getting to them I'm thinking what else could benefit from being changed while they're there. Both springs and strut casings are very ...

Re: New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

Thanks for the thought but I've got my own old yellow billies and tein s-techs off my old car but have decided not to fit them. Yellow billies really need a lower spring.

I want to stay OEM (other than the springs which I can't help) so it's looking like the TCB springs

Re: New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

Not yet. I've got the TRD top mounts and was planing on OEM struts & springs originally before I found the springs are n/a. I think my only other strut option are Black Billies then it's coilovers. I'm happy as is with handling, ride and height (positively lower than my first white rev1) so was ...

Re: New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

Thanks guys. Can anyone tell me exactly what my current options are though...? I need springs to go with new OEM struts that I can actually go out or online and buy this week. Other than the TCB version of the 'standard spring' and some H&Rs which lower just a little available though Demon Tweek...

Anybody else?

Surely somebody here is running different springs with the standard shocks?

Nobody tried the TCB springs?

Re: New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

Thanks Ryan and nice to see you're still about as well fella. Come July this year it'll be 20 years with a Mk2 Rev1 as my daily driver! Anyway back to the topic ... where can you find the Apex springs nowadays? Are they a Demon Tweeks job? Do you have pics of yours Ryan... before and after ideally b...

New OEM Toyota springs? What are the other options?

Hi all. Long time since I've posted here but now the 'new' 2 is at that point it needs a front suspension refresh. So far I've already got some front TRD topmounts from Fensport and can still get genuine Toyota front struts from TCB for about £75 a side but where can I find OEM Toyota springs? I've ...

Hi Jordan.

I may consider that an option in a while but I'd like first to give it another reasonable go selling the items together as a complete interior.

Cheers
Rob.
