Re: [Mk2] [NA] Decent tyres?

Rolling Radius mate.
To check RR of any tyre size against another (and to check what tyre sizes fit what rim widths) look at the wheel and tyre bible at www.thecarbible.com

Loadsa great info....

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Decent tyres?

If you go for a lower profile you want a 205 width (205/50/15) to keep your RR as close as possible. With standard 225's on the rear that will tend to edge it a little more to oversteer than understeer. I know it depends on your driving style but in all honesty, in my opinion, I reckon they're bugge...

Or..... Knock down the price due to the mileage to £1250 or so, showing adverts of lower mileage cars to prove your point, then spend the £350 you've saved sorting it. Full service, change all fluids and attend the bits that need it (poss droplinks for example, or cam belt change if its not been don...

Yokohama AO22's. Fabulous, awesome grip in the dry (and pretty decent in the wet too). £114 + vat for the pair (my last set was Aug '05)
Njoy.

Mate.
I think they're fabulous.....different, daring, eye catching, definative and wholly desirous.... on Lamborghinis. On MR2's they're none of the above. Just... pooh.
But thats just my opinion...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Suspension Options

Good luck with the MOT mate. Is it a rev1 or 2, your avatar says 2? Anyway see what the MOT says about the struts, maybe if there on the way out you can go for the yellow billies but to be honest I dont think I'm gona upgrade till I've been in a rev1 thats got em and experienced the differences. Re: [Mk2] [NA] Suspension Options

Hiya mate, I'm running an '89 rev1 mk2 on standard struts with fensport 30mm lowering springs and 15" rims. Ride was noticeably harder after the spring change but not hard enough to make me want to change back and loose the much improved cornering 'feel' due to the decreased body roll. Looks mi...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Gear knob options - mr2 REV 2

Well its not cheap at £110ish but you could get a TRD quickshift which has a tiny little gearlever but will also significantly shorten and improve the shift itself.
Makes it feel like you've got a new 'box.

[Mk2] [Generic] Painting calipers

Hey all, just a quickie.
Just ordering up some heat resistant orange paint to spruce up the look. Is it just a matter of whipping off the wheels and painting? How do I clean them up first ... just wire brush em? Should I really take them off to do a proper job?
Thanks

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] What wheels are on Rogue Motorsport's Silver Car?

Anybody have lists of available current wheels for an MR fitment and matching tyre possibilities? Everytime I search the web I end up with conflicting info or simply not enough ie no offset or sometimes no width!!. Is it possible we could get a couple of the large uk distributers to keep lists of op...

Never seem a magnetic one mate.
