Re: All my fault
I'm going to Amsterdam in June for a stag weekend, so depending how much money I waste there will alter my decision perhaps. If JAE wasn't 80 miles further than usual I'd come to that as well and extend my ownership. Come on Alex, I drive like a 700+ mile round trip to come to JAE, DON'T moan about...

Re: All my fault
Apparently all inlet valves are bent, some a little, some a lot... Alex, not good, :-k what you gonna do, you going for those ferra one's ? Chris I'd go with a second hand head with good valves. The cost of a full set of valves and potentially the guides as well has to be more than recondit...

Re: All my fault
Sorry to hear of your woes Alex,
Wouldn't it be easier to just drop in another engine?
On a side note, I thought the 4age was valve safe, how have the valves been damaged by the chamber breaking

Re: Dizzy Talk
I wasn't asking you Peter, I was asking Paul. Last time I torqued up an oil pump bolt, the xxx sheared and I had to have it removed. Surely you should of started another thread, ? I don't think hijacking this thread and then being rude is on tbh, in fact I think that the response to Peter's fairly ...

Re: Dizzy Talk
Peter has raised an interesting point though, one I'm inclined to share, why would the BGB give torque settings, if no one needs to use them :?: Do not not bother torqueing (a word?) Head bolts ? I get the why bother it's just a distributor, but surely Toyota must of thought it was required, I'm pre...

Re: Question From Newbie Here
These are known for the fuel pump to fail, if left in fuel for years, as the fuel go's off, I've had this with a barn find mk1, the fuel was utterly stinking. After eight years parked up. Tank and pump ruined. As the fuel had crystallized the insides.
