Hi Gullzter.
I think I've left my Celine Dion CD in the centre storage box. Can you
have a look for me and let me know.
Thanks.

Re: [FINALIZED] 1998 MR2 G-Limited (VVTi)
Hi people,
I didn't expect this level of response. There are now a number of people interested in the car. I've replied to do all PM's and will try
to keep this as fair as possible.
Thanks,
Nick.

1998 MR2 G-Limited (VVTi)
Hi folks, I'm selling my MR2 as 'spares or repair'. It's a 1998 G-Limted with the 3SGE Beams VVTi engine. It's has gradual coolant loss from the overflow which suggests a pending head gasket failure. Around this time last year I had the coolant changed and bled with a new thermostat to rule out air ...

Fuel Protest
OK this is still in its early stages (it literally started with a thread on the MR2OC at 20 to 9 this morning) but basically i'm here to suggest a 'go slow' in key areas of Scotland/England. We are aiming to get as many car/bike enthusiast clubs involved as we can , so the idea is to spread the word...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS foam filter
^^^ what he says, as far as filtration goes you'd be better off with an old sock. I have one on my N/A and i'm not impressed by the amount of crap this thing lets in and its the 'newer' HKS SPF 'reloaded'. nikk1877 says - dont bother with a replacment foam element, just get a new filter and preferab...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Uprated clutches for N/A
Aye those go together - will be investing in that set myself. I'm assuming you use oem replacements for the bearings n stuff. Saying all that by the time you've done all that and paid customs you'll be as near as the cost of the helix kit. But me being me, i'll be getting a trd one regardless :thuml...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Are trd kits the new Ferrari kits??
Is it cheapening the image?? that sounds similar to something you said about putting the turbo engine lid on an NA :oldtongue:  but i have to agree on this one - even though the beefed up body looks good, nikk1877 is officially against adding that much extra bodywork to an mr2, and i'd also fe...

Re: [All] [Generic] What carbon fibre parts are people generally after?
I've been considering either the OOParts and Ask Sport CF doors but I'm worried about how they'd fair if you were hit from the side in an accident with no roll cage. I assume they offer no side impact protection at all? A CF door skin sounds good though. I have the intention of losing the bump strip...

yeah jimbo - i know where you're coming from with the vortex thing, just can't see the wood for the trees sometimes lol. "bullsh!t baffles brains" - * writes that one down for later. Richard - volume drawn out equals volume drawn in - this obviously depends on the demands of the engine, wh...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fitted my BMC CDA Filter (With Pics) - Do You Have One ??
after re-reading my last post, it seems i've went of on another tangent agian  it was late. heres the the marketing blurb from BMC CDA filtering system is composed of a cylindrical carbon air box containing a washable filtering element. Substituting the original air box with our CDA, cold air ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fitted my BMC CDA Filter (With Pics) - Do You Have One ??
RST, Teccyjim, i'm not as technical as you guys but heres what i think i know - you guys are talkin about fluid moving through a pipe right? so a pressure drop at one end = increased velocity of the fluid? right. so that pipe has the throttle body at one end and the airbox(bmc or factory) at the oth...

Re: MR2 Turbo VS Honda Integra Type R???
I think a beams engine is inherently inferior to a VTEC in all honesty.. but anyway there is another argument. Well I wont disagree - VTEC engines are much more high tech, but call me a fanboi, I prefer the power delivery of the Beams. oops seems i'm dragging this even farther off topic. MR2 Turbo ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Fitted my BMC CDA Filter (With Pics) - Do You Have One ??
So they really do improve low down response - good. Cos I lost all mine when i fitted an HKS intake. It's claimed that the CDA delivers air under slight pressure to the engine, just like the factory airbox (wich is good for low down torque as the engine is not having to work for the air) but still h...

Re: MR2 Turbo VS Honda Integra Type R???
well just to clear it up for you Lauren - I dropped the DC5 on a road with 'corners'. Straight line duels don't really interest me much either. Hope I didn'tcome across as trying to rubbish integra's - was having a laugh. But I'm still faster than a DC5 so I'm still the champion who will strike fear...

Re: MR2 Turbo VS Honda Integra Type R???
/back to the fun... Assuming both teg and MR2 are 200ps (BEAMS being most likely here...) Power to weight... Teg - 200ps/1045 x 1000 = 191ps/tonne MR2 - 200ps/1310 x 1000 = 153ps/tonne. The Beams engined 2's are 1220kg so 164ps/tonne. Not that it makes much difference of course. DC2's are all hype ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Longer studs?
i'm currently using a set of these
http://www.priracing.com/product.php?xProd=724&xSec=93
with 10mm spacers - they are quite long though and you will need open ended wheel nuts.
I've also got a spare set, so make me an offer and i'll post them off to you
2morrow.

Just a quick question regarding the coolant temp sensor for the PFC. You mentioned in our phone conversation that the best best place for the sensor would be in the stock location(obviously  LOL) but I cant find the stock one probably because I don't know what it looks like. But anyhow, I did ...
