Re: Now What's Going on??

Dont worry guys. I sorted it out.

I had a HUGE air gap between the manifold and turbo housing... The gasket had about 1cm play. No wonder it was farting a lot

Anyways, I tightened everything up and the turbos back.. Whoop Woo..

Re: Now What's Going on??

Manifold snapped? Actuator could be stuck? Does the comp wheel spin on idle? Thanks for the reply mate. Can you give me an idea of how to check the actuator? I can't see any damage to the manifold but I will take a closer look today. Last year the bolts that hold the manifold to the turbo came loos...

Re: Now What's Going on??

c'mon guys.. Doesn't anyone know what it could be causing the turbo not to spool.?

I just read on another forum that it could be a snapped exhaust turbine and to remove the lambda sensor to see. I removed it, had a look and cant see anything..

I might be wrong but it sounds extra loud and farty.

Re: Do i need a special Lamdba Sensor?

The standard lambda sensor will be fine, you could just replace the connectors with either one you don't use or buy a male/female connector and wire it into the loom, failing that you could try items wanted to see if some one would be willing to cut the connector of a faulty sensor and the connecto...

Plastic connector plug melted!!!!!!!

Hi all, Trying to replace the lamdba/o2 sensor but the plastic connector plug that connects to sensor to the engine loom has melted together. I have to cut it off but then I will be left with 3 wires coming from the loom and 4 wires from the sensor.. I'm pretty good at maths but i cant seem to work ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] turbo sensor not plugged into anything ?!

The rev 1/2's have a single wire the rev 3's have a 4 wire o2 sensor. So it seems to me yours is a aftermarket sensor and will not work. We got spares if you need. James Sorry to jump on the thread but I need a 4 wire sensor and the plastic connector plug. The connector on mine melted severely and ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] TOAD Powerkey

Sorted!!! I removed it....

The problem the wires that confused me came from another alarm I had (autowatch)... Removed them both with no problems at all.
Pretty easy to be honest.. only took a couple of hours..

Thanks for your help anyways Ian.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] TOAD Powerkey

I thought as much Ian. I tried to google a wiring diagram to get an idea of how to remove it but no joy. I removed the dash under the steering column and found the alarm. Its has so many wires and they are all black. Grrrrrr I traced most of the wires and they seem fairly easy to remove but some are...
