Leaking sunroof 1991 Uk Rev1

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help. I replaced the sunroof on my 1991 Rev 1 MR2 (as my original one developed a crack in it) and since fitting the replacement I have a leak getting in on the drivers side front. The gap between the sunroof seal edge and the roof of the car has a wider gap (2 mm) t...

Re: xbox 360 forza 3 mr2 challenge

Drat - just saw this. Will keep my eyes open for another one and plug the xbox into the 'net. I'm not very good though - just started Forza and just got the MR2... :) My nickname is mk1max Doesn't matter. I think if we all drive standard MR2s then the field will be even. So list currently as follow...

Re: xbox 360 forza 3 mr2 challenge

If we list user ID's then we can all add each other.

Was thinking of all in standard MR2 GTS cars then the racing should be close.

1. gixxergimp1 (my xbox user ID)

Could all log in at around a certain time (say 9 pm or something) then racing could ensue.

Any more takers? :)

Re: Auto or not..

My father in law has a rev 1 auto. Whilst its slow off the mark (a lot slower than the manual) there was nothing in it when accelerating on the move (I had a UK rev 1 GT at the time). There is a definate knack to driving them though and as he will regularly tell people in his broad east lancashire a...

Peter G, Sbits - Excellent

Had a number of small niggles with my car (high speed wobble etc..) Peter did a fantastic job of rectifying and after asking him to appraise the car, found one of the biggest problems was the gearshift. The fault was found to be with the short shift which had broken giving a very loose and baggy gea...

Re: Thinking of selling up.

Never say never. This is one sorted car. Everyone knows what it costs to get a car to this state of tune. I would advertise and see what happens if you want to sell.

For 400 plus bhp it still represents awesome bang for your buck recession or no recession.

Re: Importing a tubby, still not worth it?

I have a mint grade 4 condition 1994 white Rev 3 GTS I'm twitching about selling. Its a garage queen that does no more than 1500 miles per year. Running standard boost (dyno'd at 272 bhp 245 ft lb) with a few mods (recaro JDM seats, Cusco braces, Greddy gaugues, Apexi FC commander, AVCR boost contro...

Re: FINALLY - 720 BHP / 565 LB-FT

Sorry - ain't been here as much as i'd like to over the last few days! To get to this level its cost me in the region of 30k+ (no re-mortgages yet though). But thats just the start! At this power level, things break quite easily (touchwood nothing has broken yet), but you have to be prepared for it...

Which makes your car a steal at around £10K if you do decide to sell.

Re: FINALLY - 720 BHP / 565 LB-FT

Firstly congrats on the stats. 720 bhp is mental. The torque is insane!

Question on most people lips (myself included) is how much does it cost to get to these sort of performance figures? 8-[

Re: [Mk2] [NA] How to quieten my modified Turbo exhaust....?

I personally would never track any car with a bung in as they cause everything to run much hotter. However you could pop the bung in for the sound test then remove when you go out on track as most trackday organizers only do a static test first thing  Donington Park however do a drive past sou...

Re: Drilled and grooved discs

I had Carbotech panther plus pads on solid discs and they were shuddering after 4 laps. Also produce a lot and I mean "a lot" of dust. :? That's interesting to read. I did a trackday yesterday, with standard discs and carbotec pads with rev5 calipers, I was getting brake fade after about ...

Re: Drilled and grooved discs

grooved discs everytime. The grooves enable the pad to be "deglazed" and the heat & gases to escape under heavy braking.

Re: Taking the MR2 off the road for the winter.

I always winterise my car as it is a garage queen  I never leave the car stood for ages so the tyre flat spotting has never been an issue (well not for the last 10 years of doing as I always wear them out before they get flat ). The main things I always do before putting away for winter is...
