Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 MK2Rev3 GTS Turbo Tintop Caribbean Blue - Engine rebuild
Drop me the details on the 350z. It's not something I am specifically after but have always fancied one.
I was after a T-bar, but this was too good to turn down at the time. Plus, it rains all summer!

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 MK2Rev3 GTS Turbo Tintop Caribbean Blue - Engine rebuild
After not having the chance to sort a few final things out, today I have sorted a couple of loose undertrays, and changed the oil as I had mentioned I would do. Also checked the Tyre Tread - Front 6mm and 5.5mm. Rear 4.5mm and 4.5mm. Toyo proxes on the rear, some random on the front (which are only ...

MR2 MK2Rev3 GTS Turbo Tintop Caribbean Blue - Engine rebuild
Hello all. I may regret this, however, the time has come to let my pride and joy go. I have owned the car for 4 years after purchasing from Toxo here in Imoc, and this is my 3rd MR2. Since owning the car I loved every minute, the bad moments as well as the good. In my opinion this is one of the nice...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Engine Rebuild Summer 2014
I've owned 3 MR2s now, the most recent since approximately August 2011. Around June 2014 I started to notice that the engine began to use oil quite rapidly, which led to a compression test. Cylinders 1 2 and 3, all read over 12bar, unfortunately cylinder number 4 gave around 4bar. After careful cons...

Re: Power Steering Light On - No Error Code
Thanks Rob. A good update tonight. I took the wires from the top of the relay and connected the two. Started the car and all was good, the power steering worked a treat. I reconnected to the relay and everything still worked without problem. Perhaps just a fluke, but the signs point towards the rela...

Re: Power Steering Light On - No Error Code
Thanks.
I guess if there is no error code I can perform the steering angle test.
I recall reading a thread where Shinny mentioned he was only able to read the codes with the engine running so I can try that to. That gives me a couple is things to start with.

Re: Power Steering Light On - No Error Code
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I have given that a try, didn't seem to change anything. I think I will bypass the relay next just to be sure.
Is it unusual to have the PS light on but no error codes?

Power Steering Light On - No Error Code
Hi All, If anyone can shed any light on this it would be appreciated. My Power Steering has died, the Power Steering light is on and the steering is very heavy. My next step was to look at the manual, which suggests to check for diagnostics codes. So I bridged Terminals E1 & Tc. However, the lig...

I heard you can use peogoet fluid aswell. Is it worth risking? From what I can gather mine had the original Toyota fluid currently.

Re: Igniter on its way out?
My old MR2 started to misfire before it went completely so you might be alright, but looking at it I would just replace it, they aren't expensive

Electro Hydraulic Power Steering Fluid - Part Number 08886-01206
Hi all, I don't suppose any body locally (derby) has any power steering fluid hanging around? Mine seems low (can't see any leaks) so going to top it up, what's in it appears gold (looks clear on my finger) which is correct for the electro hydraulic power steering fluid required from what I can see ...
