Re: N/A Mk2 - Engine dies after 30 seconds

hello, I have got a similar issue, last week my rev1 turbo was firing fine and died after few seconds, as if no fuel was given after starting it. So I bypassed the fuel pump relay by connecting fp and +b in the diagnostic box and it didn't die. Have you tried that? Also I have a question related, do...

red rev5 (?) T-bar A34 22/03/17

second mr2 in 2 days

spotted this morning at about 8.20 a red T-bar, with a rev 5 spoiler, on the A34 northbound, between Didcot and Oxford.
I was on the other side, didn't have time to flash

Anyone from here?

Re: JAPFEST 2018 - IMOC/TWOBRUTAL/MR2 DRIVERS CLUB ATTENDEE LIST/TICKET PURCHASE

thanks guys for the answers, I think I will reconsider then haha
indeed the amount of people on track was my fear, I'd rather take my MR2 on track another time then :)

Gazza_dj I didn't know about the open pit lane evenings, that's great info, thank you :)

Re: JAPFEST 2018 - IMOC/TWOBRUTAL/MR2 DRIVERS CLUB ATTENDEE LIST/TICKET PURCHASE

Hello guys, I have a question regarding the track time. As it is my first Jap Fest I don't know how it works. I reckon it is by sessions. There are 2 options, 3 sessions or unlimited. I'm planning to take unlimited. Also it would be my first track experience with my own car, so is it a good place to...

#-o seriously why does one want to turn one's MR2 into a "ferrari", just keep it as a lovely MR2.

Re: Migou's introduction

Hello everyone, a copy pasting from the other forum Hopefully now I have given you enough of bad news and can start being more positive here. The toy is back on the road, I'm very happy with the work John French did. The car is fantastic, and I can finally enjoy it. https://img15.hostingpics.net/pic...

Re: Migou's introduction

yes he is really good (well I'm not an expert) and kept me updated all the while, presented me the different options, so I'm pretty confident I'll get a good car :)

Re: Migou's introduction

yes I'm taking second hand because my bloc is really at the limit to be able to be rebuilt, so it would not necessarily last long.
John is giving me a warranty for everything, and we discussed a lot of different options, but I chose this one.

Re: Migou's introduction

Hello guys, some news after a very long time. So it happened that there was a very poor job on the heater matrix pipework, which probably caused the failure. My car is still at John French's garage, he has been very helpful all through, and I am getting his own engine, used but well looked after, wi...

Re: Migou's introduction

Should of just bought mine while i was selling it lol haha I know right, just had not sold the RX8 in that time. Well the head gasket was the guess when I brought it in, but they had not checked it yet. And it was apparently more serious. I'd be happy to have a second opinion but DriftLimit won't t...

Re: Migou's introduction

oh okay, I thought it was as it was an advisory on the last year MOT well, to give some news, it's not good at all, have to replace the engine as too many things have been damaged in there (the turbo is fine though). They said they found some poor job on it, but can't tell whether it was the cause o...

Re: Migou's introduction

he told me he replaced a lower hose, and it had passed the MOT despite the leak last year so I guess it was not a big leak, and having fixed it, it had no advisory about it at the last MOT last week

Re: Migou's introduction

Why didnt dl still give it a look over anyway? I doubt you would get anything from the seller. Private sales are sold as seen. You could have ragged the hell out the car and blew it up (not saying you did) and why should the seller then pay for that?!?! Id be getting advise elsewhere as never heard...
