Just had a quick look and genuine bushes come in at a surprisingly reasonable $20, the powerflex black are about $65 with shipping.
Although that's the least of my worries my rack and power steering motor are in a right state ><
Currently got the steering rack removed for a rebuild and the old rubber bushes are pretty tired, anyone replaced these with polybushes, is it even worth it?
I've yet to price up replacement toyota bushes but powerflex offer replacement purple and black variants although a little $$.
That sensor/plug in the first pic is the inlet air temp sensor although i'm not sure how much of an impact its feedback has on the engine management.
Without that actuator hose off yeah you would of had an air leak plus zero boost control.
I'd trace that red hose back to be sure you're not drawing in air through it.
With regards to the fan blowing the fuse, is the fan seized? got a multimeter to check for an earth fault?
Ah engine out... not that i've done it on a 3SGTE before but if you're happy to remove the sump then place block of wood between the block and crankshaft counter weight (or whatever you want to call it) then use breaker bar + scaffy bar if required....

Have you got 3 or 4 connectors there? looks like 3 in the picture but i've got 4 on my Rev 3 one of which not connected to anything.

Hose from hell and hose from hell on earth new to mr2s so had to google. these easier to do with head off ? Most definitely. The issue is the exhaust downpipe and manifold preventing access to the hoses but obviously with a headgasket replacement these would already be removed so it's an easy job.
Yeah Dan so your suggestion about the fitting being BSP(T) based on my measurements was correct! Picked up a BSPT fitting and fits perfect, I was under the impression the MAC solenoid, compressor housing outlet fitting and inlet manifold bung were all NPT but it appears they were all in fact BSPT.
Given that the part numbers are different I doubt it as they are a different part. Were Turbo mounts not available?
