Tested the speed sensor and it is working, so next step is to disconnect the kmh/mph converter, if that has no effect it can only be a faulty speedo or if I'm majorly unlucky a damaged wire somewhere.
I will report back with this

rev counter/ speedo issue
Today I have removed the gearbox speed pulse generator (speed sensor) as pictured http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt205/jamieshaler07/Mobile%20Uploads/20150927_141609_zpslo8kvwev.jpg I will bench test this now to try and get to the bottom of my speedo problem which seems very common. If this is n...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Can you bench test a MR2 Speedo Unit?
Got a problem with my rev gauge not moving at all, I think the speedo works but can't remember 100% as it's not been driven much as a bought it as a project. What I want to know is, is there a way to test the Rev gauge and/or speedo to check the motors haven't failed? Can I hook them up at some conn...

[Mk2] [Turbo] DTA Stand Alone ECU Tuning Recommendations?
As the title suggests I'm looking for recommendations for a tuner (closer the better to Coventry) to have a play with my DTA ECU. Am i right in thinking an average 'mapper' wouldn't really have much knowledge with this? Does anyone know if Rogue Motorsport do ECU tuning of stand alone units? I have ...

3SGTE T-Bar Turbo Forged Build/Restoration
Thought I'd post a build/restoration project thread to keep track of everything that is/is going to be done on a MR2 Turbo I picked up recently. So the car is a interesting one as it is forged and comes with a wod of paperwork equalling a staggering amount that the previous owner spent on it, then f...

Re: Scrap the charge cooler for a intercooler?
The pre rad is up front roughly where the aircon rad would be if it was still fitted. I didn't fit the system but i did notice the pre rad had a Ford logo on it so not sure what it's off tbh. I have a rolling road claim of 360 bhp with print out for this car so if the charge cooler is contributing t...

Scrap the charge cooler for a intercooler?
Considering doing the above, what's in the title... Bought a big build turbo which I'm restoring but want some advice on the charge cooler set up, it's the st185 by the way. Seems a lot of weight/hassle/clutter but I don't know the intake air temp drops over the intercooler, are they massive? Will i...

Brilliant
Did you buy the car from him or did you buy it from someone else?

Anybody know member "llenrub" 350 bhp+ mr2?
I think I have his old car which had a fair bit of money spent on it, then was left for some reason.
Would just like to find some background info on it
