Re: Good news & Bad News ??
On the subject of auto fluid in a manual tranny, which has been somewhat passed over, since it is the minor issue right now, Toyota actually sent out the early MKI's with auto fluid in them. Re: oil?
The BGB doesn't mention anything about oil change maintenance.
Only occasionally adding oil is mentioned, as they apparently knew it would eat it bit by bit.

Re: MK1 caliper carriers senior moment

The nice part of putting a new timing pointer/bolt on is that the original ones were 12 point/star shaped, and could easily be damaged if torqued tightly.
Toyota started supplying 6-point ones quite some time ago, which are much easier to deal with.

Sometimes it's not even that complex - they simply send a fake PayPal email and hope you don't check it in too much detail Exactly that. Unfortunately, a lot of people will not bother to go directly to their paypal site via a saved link, and will only view the one supplied by the fraudulent buyer. ...

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 MK1 Supercharger - Japanese Import (1987) *Final Price Reduction*
Is it possible to do a manual conversion? Yes, been done a lot, especially here in the States. Finding a cheap donor car somewhere near you might be the best way to go. Even the auto shift lever to manual shift lever swap is not that hard if I recall correctly. Most of it is just tedious work. In p...
