Re: Dying Grey Interior

To be honest i reckon any old black dye would do, long as its the sort you can just leave on and you dont have to wash out.

There are some dyes on ebay that you can just leave to air dry.

Maybe apply it carefully with a small kitchen type sponge thingy.
And not the green hairy side

Re: Dying Grey Interior

Any body else see that episode of wheeler dealers where Mike has a car with a grey parcel shelf, so he gets a can of matt black car paint and sprays it! :thumleft: Brilliant! :thumleft: It looked alright to be fair, he said him and his dodgy 2nd hand car dealer mates used to do it all the time. Be w...

Re: Do I need a BOV?

With regards to BOV placement, a so called expert told me the BOV should be as close to the throttle body as possible? so that's where mine is at the mo. Its post the intercooler and pre the throttle body. But I'm pondering a little :-k if that's the case why did Toyota put theirs on the hot pipe wh...

Re: Do I need a BOV?

And after reading a bit more on a 200sx forum i think i wont bother removing my BO because from what I've read so far all it does is makes your car make a weird noise, and I havent heard anything yet about any type of performance gains?? only losses/car running cr&p. If thats the case why would ...

Re: turbo and NA shocks same/interchangeable?

Now that's interesting re the rebuild for 75 sheets. My mate was just telling me about a place around here actually near inskip who he reckons remanufactures shocks and steering racks, he said they advertise in classic car magazine amongst others, See mr2 ben have a used black bilstein for 90 squid....

turbo and NA shocks same/interchangeable?

No doubt an easy one for old timer experts on here. But are shocks off a NA car the same as the ones on a Turbo? I know you get the other type of shocks that have replaceable inkserts, but if you come across a NA car with black billys on, then would they be ok on my turbo? Just wondering on the slim...

Re: why o why

Yeah and what you then do if your like me is the following.

Renew/refurb replace everything on the car or at the very least loads of stuff till the cars spot on and then.

Get rid of it and start again #-o

I'm not sure why I do that? :?:

Re: why o why

I don't mind and actually enjoy the maintenance/restoration side of things. It would be just nice now and again to finish a job and actually get to drive the thing for at least a few days/weeks maybe even a month or two before you get into another problem. Hey ho, she looks nice and shiny clean at l...

Re: lambda sensor wiring

Thanks for that! :thumleft:

Slightly worrying is the fact that the wire coming off the top lambda sensor seems to be only 1 wire?

Is this normal? and its black so I have a heater and not a sensor according to that link, how odd

Anyone poss got a pic of the wiring if they have their head in the engine bay today please? I suspect it may be blue and white wiring, also if you happen to be in is it a grey plug with two of these coloured wires going in? I'll try and take a pic later of what I've got and what I'm trying to track ...
