Re: Its a crime!!! Or is it? Breaking
Im a little bit sad in this respect possibly as I do get emotionally attached to inanimate objects. I sometimes see these cars on ebay and here myself saying in my head "you poor thing, what have you done wrong to deserve this" Then need to remind myself " it is just a car" I thi...

Its a crime!!! Or is it? Breaking
I keep seeing what seem to be really nice cars in good or reasonable condition being broke on Ebay for example and other places. A lot of the time I look at the car and think "what a shame another nice car being cannibalized " I can understand it if it been in a shunt and front ends totall...

Re: Ceiling prices for turbo's as per year and condition
This is the thing, I'm not after doing my cars up and making money. But Its good to know whether to throw money at a car and make it better or put that money towards one that someone has already done for you. As it stands I reckon my cars in pretty good nick for its age, interior is good and engine ...

Re: Ceiling prices for turbo's as per year and condition
I spent 5 years (bit at a time whilst using it) building/improving and maintaining my last car and spent a lot of money on it but more importantly I spent a Lot of time and effort on it. I don't have massive amounts of money to play with, but I always want the cars I own to be the best that they can...

Sard MC8 ???? anybody got one or a look e like
Just been looking at the Sard mc8, looks cool! =P~ looks a bit like a Honda NSX and I love those too. Did any of these rare beast ever end up on the road and if not has anyone tried to make a standard sw20 look like one with any success? Of course it would be limited as allegedly the Sard is lengthe...

Ceiling prices for turbo's as per year and condition
What do you guys is the top price for a Turbo in good condition (not concourse or totally rebuilt) but good all round body work and mechanical wise. I am in particular thinking what the prices would be like as per each REV and year group. Currently at a cross roads with my car, I am wondering how mu...

EFI fuse blowing driving along and engine cuts out.
Went out for a little test run yest after replacing rear passenger shock and spring. Whilst out car was pulling very nicely and slightly scarily, any way whilst scaring my self around some local twisty country back roads, on a few occasions the car cut out. I must have been lucky as my 1st point of ...

Re: Limited Slip Diffs
If manufacturers go to all the trouble of making and fitting a LSD, why is it some people weld there's up? :?: :? :?: What the idea behind that one? And also why is it if clever old manufacturers develop clever old ABS systems do some people decide they can brake better without it? :? :?: BTW can yo...

Re: mongoose clearance any pics?
Really!!! well at least I know that its not just mine or the flexi is no good dimension size or some other weirdness. When i spoke to someone else they reckoned the exhaust shouldnt move that much. I was worried if i was going down rough roads and the suspension was having a good work out, I...

think I'll keep my aircon after all, not to fussed about not getting the weight savings from removing it.
why remove weight, just add more power right!

aircon its not possible to re'gas if your system is working?
As the title says, I was told by somebody that you could not regas the aircon in our systems? I thought you could do it for any system even old ones, I thought that they may need to drain old stuff and replace with a newer different kind of stuff, but i thought i had seen summat on the telly that sh...

Re: ABS myth??? re fault finding. and any tips out there?
as they are wired or configured in pairs in a diagonal as far as Im aware when you get 2 error codes for sensors say nearside front and offside rear, its likely only one sensor has failed. so at this point if you havent got a spare sensor handy, the only way to check is with a meter or oscilloscope. ...

ABS myth??? re fault finding. and any tips out there?
I have been reading a good few old posts Re ABS in an attempt to get rid of my ABS prob. Anyhoo, I read in one Post/Thread that you can put a multimeter on the sensor and presumably spin the wheel and get a measurement again presumably in ohms? I hope this is possible but I am somewhat sceptical and...

Its weird some times it boost like a mofo and goes like a stabbed rat, and other times you put your foot down and its like the boost is missing/weak....

Re: Dying Grey Interior
after doing a lot of readinf on many different forums etc. The general consensus was dont do it re trim. But That all depends how much you want to spend, how long your keeping the car or if you just want to make it look tidier for a quick sale. However. As your headlining is probably nylon/synthetic...
