Re: MK1a High fuel consumption

Right, just did a test, thrown me back a code 11 (11 flashes) Apparently that's ethier the TPS or air conditioning and since i don't have AC then it must be the TPS.

What does it mean about the TPS, not calibrated correctly not working??
Thanks :)

MK1a High fuel consumption

Now i've started using my MR2 a bit more often i have noticed that is is getting ridiculously bad fuel consumption. I never expected it to be great but i filled up with £20 of fuel the other day (18.20 Litres) and that got me just about 75 miles, which is around the 18MPG mark. Now fair enough if i ...

Differences between MK1a bumper bar and MK1b

Hi there. Unfortunately i've had a little accident with some ice and a wall in my MR2. The main damage was right side wing, headlight and damage to the bumper. This means i need a replacement bumper bar, foam and bumper skin for my MK1a. I know trying to find a MK1a bumper bar is going to be a bit d...

Re: New MK1a owner Just saying Hi!

Thanks for the comment kaiowas :), i would imagine thats the most probable answer. I don't think the car has had a full respray though as the green paintwork looks good and original (age'd :L) but the gold definitely been resprayed a few times as it's a pretty bad finish and there is a noticeable li...

Re: New MK1a owner Just saying Hi!

There are a few thing's i'd like to ask too. One of the problems i'm having with the MR2 at the moment is the headlight switch seems to be faulty, as you flick the switch so the headlights come up and they don't, however all the other lights turn on. Also if you use the flasher on the indicator stic...

New MK1a owner Just saying Hi!

Hi everyone, i'm Ben, and i'm from South Wales and a massive japanese car fan!. Recently I've purchased my very first MK1a MR2. I've been wanting one for ages, and finally i've been in a position to buy one :) I got it off Ebay for £740 from a guy in Liverpool and it was quite a trek there and back!...
