Re: Japspeed exhaust + Decat + Turbo

Feels better without the cat, especially opening up to bigger downpipe (turbo). I had a decat onto a standard backbox, and it sounded pretty raspy. Here's my nur spec, no bung, decatted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaaQ5orTgVk&feature=youtu.be In terms of extra bhp, I found the stock backbox...

Re: Japspeed exhaust + Decat + Turbo

To be honest mine is pretty quiet with the bung.. I didn't think it was loud at all, cuts down motorway drone and you can have a relatively quiet conversation with it in.. almost silent when cruising along at 30mph say.

The nur spec is jasma stamped and it's still loud.

Re: Turbo Sounds

Yeah didn't work on the Rev2 I found, think it was covered up by the AFM more than anything as I didn't hear it at all when I blocked mine off on that. Love it on my rev3 though!

Re: Toyota OEM pads?

not sure I rate the OEM pads, I've got some in mine at the moment and braking isn't as sharp as I'd like it to be. Though, I run stock lines on mine and had braided previously, which I think is causing the issue.

Mine have just started sqeaking too so i'll be looking into this.

Think the other guy that bought the 2GR from the same people picked some parts up off me the other day for his build. Should be good that's for sure!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] DEFI DIY wiring

As I said on MR2OC... I REALLY don't want to have to fork out and buy the control unit for them, for simply powering the device. You bought the original Defi Meter gauges, didn't you? Tough luck, I'm afraid! They won't do a thing without the control unit. The control unit is what connects to the se...

[Mk2] [Turbo] DEFI DIY wiring

Hi guys, I've got a full set of DEFI gauges, but I REALLY don't want to have to fork out and buy the control unit for them, for simply powering the device. I've got boost, water temp, oil temp/pressure. The boost gauge has all the wiring, but the rest don't so I've got to source the sensors etc for ...

Nice one sounds good. I'll try get a clip of mine and see how it is in comparison.

Do you have a block off plate?

I run mine for two days and just felt sorry for the turbo haha.

Nice one cheers.

I blocked the vac line off, does flutter but not the familiar Nissan flutter or similar. Any of you guys got clips of yours?

Re: Turbo Flutter

Am I correct in assuming that you could remove the vac line from the aftermarket bov, block one end then block the bov end with another vac line?

That way the bov wouldn't open at all so remaining permanently shut..?

EDIT: Read the other thread, my bad.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My rev2 rebuild log.

My belt covers were cracked - I drilled, then melted the plastic together then JB welded them up and they're strong as ever now. I'd reccomend doing that. JB weld is £5, best stuff going.

Clutch master cylinder Fubar'd?

Hi folks, went to bleed my clutch today after it's been sitting with the engine out of it for 6 months and to say the master cylinder isn't working is an understatement.. there's absolutely no push in it at all even when the slave bleed nipple is done up. I've run fluid through the line and still no...
