there used to be a mr2 specific wheel/tyre size calculator that would let you know of fender issues with stock suspension, but the above will help match things up with tyre sizes whatever size you end up getting!

If no one comes through, I've always found my local Toyota dealership parts department to be able to locate parts for me - depends how helpful they are tho!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ebay vs TRD Exhaust

Can you even get TRD exhausts anymore? Nope, i'd be hanging onto the TRD as long as the baffles are still in good nick. Dunno why youd want to replace one with a crapspeed of all things. Every japspeed i've heard sounds like xxxx and also look shoddily built. Stuff you can get new for these cars is...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Ebay vs TRD Exhaust

I had a HKS Silent Hi Power on my Altezza and really liked it. Really like the Fujitsubo Legalis R on the N/A.

I'd buy the newest Jap brand one you can get a hold of or get one imported. I got someone to buy my HKS from Up Garage and post it to me.

Re: Mk2 prices on the up......

Good ones are still strongly priced over there when converted to GBP, but I don't know how that sits with the domestic buyers. Have a look at Goo-net (like a JP Autotrader) to get an idea. A good Rev5 BEAMS costs more over there than a good Rev3 Turbo does here, for example. Cheers, just had a look...

Re: Mk2 prices on the up......

Has anyone looked at prices in Japan to see if they are also on the rise? I'll be out there for a year and have toyed with the idea of buying something and sending it back while I'm there, would definitely be worth looking at if I can save a considerable amount on UK prices (or at least get somethin...

Re: Short Shifter

From memory, the stick itself grinded against the blue plate and was maybe tough to get into 1st sometimes because of this (it was over a year ago I had mine). It did make getting into reverse easier (the normal shifter has trouble with this).

The DIY approach is probably best.

Re: Insuring an MR2 with electronic boost controller

Have you tried speaking to a few people at Admiral? I got wildly (really) different levels of help depending on who I was talking to. Sometimes it just takes someone on the phone willing to check it out properly rather than just "boost controller isn't on this list mate". When I've got thr...

Re: New to forum + advice on where to buy

Yeah I've seen the nice Rev 3 on here at 3k but it's just so far away up in Scotland. What should you expect to pay for a Rev 2 would you think? Obviously it all depends on condition but say standard condition. I would recommend looking into travelling. For a good car, it's really worth it. Takes a...

I'd recommend the TRD ball one - feels really nice. I had a "long" one before that and it just didn't feel right, I think the MR2 suits the shorter knobs considering how raised the lever is
