Sounds like it could be a loose wheel!
Failing that, look at brakes and wheel bearings.
There's not really anything on the front that rotates with the wheel... I.e. no driveshafts to be knocking.
Has anyone else got any thoughts on this?
I'm after a shorter hub for my rev 3 as the deep dish steering wheel means I can't reach the stalks without removing my hands completely.
Just not sure such a thing exists or where to find them?
MR2's only handle well for a 25 year old bus. Type R's, Focus ST's, Meganes etc will all run rings around a standard (and probably modified) MR2.
It's just technology catching up I guess.
Right, I'm 99% sure the PFC is controlling boost, as I managed to enter the boost settings which shows how the boost pressure increases as the water temperate rises, with maximum being 1.2bar. The profec spec I does nothing I suspect, but just lights up and 'looks' functional. The boost reading on t...
eBay item number: 221406138683 Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. The above link is my actual car (not allowed to post as a link due to being a NOOB!) There is a blue Greddy boost controller , but I was told that this is not necessarily working, but still not to mess with it as it m...
Ryan seemed to think it was a faulty actuator which could have been fouling the decat pipe potentially? I don't think there is a low boost setting, but to be honest, this commander thing scares me! So spraying carb cleaner should make the idle change? How easy is it to check/change the solenoi...
Hi all, Having recently bought my first MR2 tubby, I inevitably have a few questions about boost! The car is a rev 3 and running a Power FC as well as all the usual bolt on mods: Blitz exhaust, filter, smic etc... It has been mapped by Ryan at 2Bar and has a graph to show 287bhp. However, According ...
Look, all i'm saying is, if I'd have known it didn't drive as it should I would never have made the 100- odd mile trip. Why didn't you mention in your advert (or to me) that as soon as you reach full boost it suffers major fuel cut? Instead we waited til a test drive for this to become apparent. How...
I expected to be able to get in it and give it a proper test drive. It doesn't run properly and you tried to mask the fuel cut by not holding full boost and saying "it's never been a problem as I don't use full throttle". What a load of tosh - who buys an MR2 turbo to only ever use it off ...
After taking the trip from Coventry to London to view this I noted a few things which may 'need attention' shall we say.... Every time you use full throttle it violently cuts out at about 4000rpm, even though it apparently "boosts properly". There are a multitude of knocks bangs and rattle...
