Is there anyone here with a mk1 V6?
In particular anyone looking to sell one or can offer advice on buying?
Thanks

Thanks for the information Paul.
Looks like a MK3 LSD in the current box makes more sense.

MK1 MR2 with V6 3vz - Gearbox question
Can an E153 Turbo gearbox be fitted to a 3vz when running the engine in a mk1 mr2? It currently has a mk2 rev1 n/a box fitted and was wondering if it was a straight swap or if you need to change driveshafts etc as well. It seems the most cost effective way to run a LSD as n/a LSD boxes are few and f...

Re: Converter wiring question
Thanks Peter, I've tried and unfortunately they no longer appear to exist (or they are extinct from search engines ).
I'll keep searching.

Re: Converter wiring question
Is this not a common converter, or is it generally a case that most imports have them installed?
I did a search and other than seeing a for sale advert for one, all the others I found were 4 wire converters.

Converter wiring question
I have just received the converter below for a mk2 (thanks Simon - Garrett :) ). Can anybody give me any advice on fitting and wiring? I have searched online and not found any instructions for this device. I have brown, yellow, red, blue and black wires. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y271/miles25...

If you don't care about CEL on, error codes etc, cut the purple/white wire at the ECU.
Thanks. Other than throwing a code/CEL I assume it does not hinder any other engine function/performance?
Garrett - PM sent.

Ok, thanks.
No problem, just I have an imminent testday and I am struggling for time so was after a quick solution in the short term.

Re: Quick de-limiter question - MK2 N/A
Thanks for the quick reply. Any advice on the best place to get a converter at the ECU? P.S. Is it simply an error code that doesn't affect any areas of the engine/peformance or will the error code also reduce other engine peformance aspects - I may not have driven the car long enough to get the err...

Quick de-limiter question - MK2 N/A
I've done a search which was really helpful, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't an easy way. I need to the remove the 112mph limiter on an n/a MK2 with a Jap ECU. I am, not bothered about wether the speedo works or not, I simply want the limiter gone. I can remove the gearbox speed sensor wire b...

Re: MK2 N/A Diff Query (with pics)
Ok, so it appears this thread is going the way of the others and obviously for good reason as it appears there is no definitive, easy answer and depends on the type of diff fitted. Just to keep this on track with the original post and to be sure, does the above rotational differences of the two gear...

That is what some of the other posts were saying when I searched. It appears there are conflicting views.

Re: MK2 N/A Diff Query (with pics)
Thanks, looks like I need to post more
I was getting conflicting comments on other threads when I searched about the wheel spinning test and whether it was conclusive or not, but you sound confident so will go with that.
Cheers

MK2 N/A Diff Query (with pics)
Hi, It appears I do not have enough posts to add links to pictures, so I will try and describe. I just got hold of 2 import n/a gearboxes. One is a rev 2 the other is a rev 3. The rev 3 box has a bar in the centre of the diff, and if I put a driveshaft in one side (with the box in gear) and turn it ...

Nope Rev 3.
I changed the oil just incase and no real difference. I guess it is internal.
Time to find a new box!

MK2 N/A Notchy 3rd Gear (no crunch)
Hi, I have spent a while using the search button and found some useful information on possible causes of my current notchy third gear (especially going from 2nd to 3rd). There is no crunch it is a case of having to be very forceful to get it into gear. On the down change from 4th to 3rd it is better...
