17 x Genuine Toyota oil filters mr2 turbo
Hi Guys Going to keep your mr2 forever? In that case you'll need lots of filters! I have 17 unused mostly boxed filters. Have sold the car now to surplus to requirements. These are £12 each at toyota so retail over £200, grab a bargain. If you change your oil as often as you should these will last y...

Rev 3 turbo brake caliper set
Hi guys
Have a full set of brake calipers, fronts partially rebuilt.
Never tested to assume they all need a clean and rebuild (as you would any second hand brakes).
£80 per axle or all 4 £120 collected. Could post but likely expensive due to weight. Based in West Sussex.
Cheers

98+ 3S NA Block: Ideal for forged build
Hi guys I have a couple of 3S NA blocks from a late MR2 where they have the strengthened corner by the water pump just like the late 5S blocks. Internet rumour also says that the metal composition is stronger blah blah. These blocks are easy to use on turbos, simply tap for a turbo oil feed. Common ...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Well guys, she's gone. Gone but still here.... Dan has bought her and now has a new home up northish. It's been a great 4 years, and I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much if it wasn't for the IMOC community. I've made some good friends along he way that I'll continue to see & speak to, and had some...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Thanks guys. Martin I don't really like saying how much ð but anyone who's built an engine knows how much it costs and it's a bloody lot haha! Whilst it was out today I decided to go for a country blast. Driving back on the motorway seemed a bit more subdued, as it would I guess. But today it abs...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Well, she's back! All done and dusted. A very comprehensive map, very impressed. The car drives like it's OEM in terms of behaviour. No cold start hot start nonsense, no weird part throttle behaviour etc. Tom H has really worked well on that. It's mapped at 1.6 bar and has a lot of drama on boost. T...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Personally? Perhaps. I would say that a smaller turbo gives the midrange earlier and for 480hp a gt3076 would get you that nicely at about 1.8-1.9 bar and the spool was quite nice on that. If you're wanting more long term go for the gt35 or perhaps add a smaller exhaust housing for a few quid (after...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Fensport only road map but they said they are very confident it's between 500-550hp which is bang on for the boost and what I wanted. The car last hit 485hp on the Dyno with a few issues, cam timing not right etc so I'd think this should smash it. It's also now spooling 1000rpm faster so definitely ...

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
The car has been at Fensport and the guys have done an awesome job. It's now finished and ready to complete. Finally after what seems a long build its time to say there are no niggles, nothing left to do and nothing wrong with it. She's been mapped to 1.6 bar and cams tweaked and dialled in and I'm ...

If the light doesnt permanently illuminate at 3k rpm it won't be the knock sensor.

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Hiya, I should be picking the car up from the garage next Friday. I wasnt happy with how the car was setup and wasn't as effecient as I wanted it for the boost it was running, and decided to have a well known Mr2 specialist give it a full health check, tweak, fiddle and fresh MOT. It's now hitting e...
