Re: Rev5, cosmos blue NA - Undecided on a few things
I was thinking that but I'm not a massive fan of the rear bumper, the Toms rear I like because it's OEM-ish just a bit bulkier :thumleft: Now, what colour should I get my advans Refurbed in? I could only get silver and flat black to work properly for some reason :( If anyone could do one in Bronze a...

Re: Rev5, cosmos blue NA - Undecided on a few things
Quite a bit of a checklist! Fit new roof seals + Buy and fit Tbar seals. Fit black headlining kit Decide on a colour for my SA3R's and get them refurbed. Polybushed Full GEO inc coilover setup (considering selling them and getting new billies + springs, undecided). Polish rear lights + exhaust When ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] High cold idle and revs dip
It hunts a touch and although it is no where near "lumpy" it's also not a smooth feeling at idle

[Mk2] [NA] High cold idle and revs dip
Hey guys, at cold idle my revs can be as high as 2k rpm, I know it should be about 1500, any idea what I could try to get it down? Also, I've noticed If I'm coming to an abrupt stop with the clutch down my revs something's dip down to 500ish and back up, it's done it since I got the car In Feb, agai...

Spot weld on the captive nut has probably come free. I read about this months ago but from what I remember doesn't it mean cutting the subframe?

Re: Official PowerFlex Dealer
Digging up an old thread  , do you still supply these bushes at all? As to the above question could you supply the bushes for a rev 2 an with rev 3 tubby conversion chassis components The 2 is in need of an overhaul :thumleft: Last time I spoke to Luke about polybushing he quoted £400 which i...

Re: Rev5, cosmos blue NA - Undecided on a few things
Got the car back, clutch feels amazing, must've been slipping since I'd got the car, feels quicker and proper throws you back in the seat now! New callipers not so good, he bled the brakes about 5-6 times and it still has double the travel and feels spongy, he thinks master cylinder may be on it's w...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Slipping clutch question.
I'm just about to have the clutch changed with new callipers all round too to replace the old rough sticky calipers. I'm hoping it'll feel faster too as I was just getting used to it

Re: Rev5, cosmos blue NA - Undecided on a few things
I've been off work for two weeks due to a back injury, I couldn't drive because I was taking some strong pain pills. About a week ago I tried starting the car and the alternator was feked, new alternator fitted and now the clutch is gone as well so I need that sorting before I get polybushes and new...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] any reviews on poly bush gear selector bushes.
I got the linkage polybush kit from 2'sRus and I've gotta say it's night and day. My old bushes suprisingly weren't that bad but it's made it feel more solid whilst still having enough give to be comfortable

Cheers Peter It was when I was looking at pictures of alternators on google trying to work out which one I needed a few of them were listed as 70a, no wonder they looked nothing like the MR2 alternator

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Squeal, Smoke, Melted rubber and bad times :(
So output doesn't matter? It only does 5miles each way when commuting along with a good hoon once a week, would I be better off going for the 80/90amp to make sure the battery gets a good ol' charge on the shorter journeys? Especially with winter approaching so lights on, heaters etc + my 300rms sub

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Squeal, Smoke, Melted rubber and bad times :(
New problem, I've been recommended by JDmodified (I know they're useless) that It'll be a round plug alternator, I know this is wrong because that's a Rev1 item. I've got a picture that looks like an oval/oblong but the live feed off of it it situated almost imediately below and all the alternators ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Squeal, Smoke, Melted rubber and bad times :(
That's a no brainer but thanks for the input. I'm worried about other damage that might have occurred considering the struggling engine and warm/sticky cambelt. Sod's law, my last big spend on the car before next year was going to happen in the next 2/3weeks - alternator , polybushed, clutch and 4x ...
