Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Yeah that's the quick test to make sure it's the immobiliser. Thing I want to make sure that I retain all security features as per cat 1 status. you still will, if the immobiliser is on the fuel pump cct then you use the fuel pump cct to latch the relay you will still retain the functionality of it.

Re: Wheels studs
Front and rear are the same spline size, eBay/universal studs are crap. The best extended studs you can get are ARP studs, part number ARP 100-7715. I think H-Tune are the cheapest UK support at the min, budget around £40 a corner

Re: Andy's Rev 3 Turbo - Project complete.
Fuel pump is a simple fix, run a dedicated supply from the battery through a relay, use the standard fuel pump circuit to close the relay. That way you've got a dedicated 14v supply with no voltage drop. Simple job, should only take a morning.

Sorry to all the people who haven't received replies to their PM's, I've arranged to sell the whole car to someone who enquired so unless that falls through for some reason then it's all been sold

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fuel fittings
the earls part you've listed would require you to flare the pipe,

that's the proper earls 5/16 compression fitting, I used this exact one on mine

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fuel fittings
Cut the standard fitting off and install a compression fitting (as I did), bodging it with the wrong fitting and ptfe tape is plain scary!

Interesting, For what it's worth I didn't notice that trend on my car running a power fc with O2 feedback control permanently turned off.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Better air intake temp sensor and positioning. Results page 6.
The adapter is simple to make, buy one brass m16 bung/blank, drill out the centre out to 8.8mm (9 will do if that's all you have) and tap it to the thread of the triumph sensor (m10x1.25). If you have access to a small vice and a hand drill you can make in in about 5 mins. All described in detail on...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 TURBO APEXI PFC COMMANDER?
Only the new OLED commanders are universal, the others are ECU specific.
You need a commander with the code FCC2-TS-020..... on the back of it

Sad to see you go Rob, some of the engineering you've shown on your build has been outstanding. More importantly, what bike you getting? Thanks mate, I'll probably still pop in here for a read, I've had a look about and bike forums seem totally dead. I'm after a 93-98 YZF750R, ideally in the white/...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?
I'm on 275/40/18s and run Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I've had 13k+ out of them and they're still going strong, in a car that's slightly heavier and slightly less powerful than yours, so in a world of free-body physicsfairly comparable. I'd definitely look into Super Sports next time. Best tyre e...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What is a good wearing tyre ?
I had a pair fitted recently (225/40r18) at my local Costco for £208, plus I got a £20 voucher back as part of a Michelin promotion.. so once I'd spent the £20 on a bit of shopping they were only £188 fitted for the pair. It may be worth checking it out if there's a Costco local to you

For what it's worth, this is why speedflow is the best you can buy (and earls are still very good) Both 'identical' straight 6an 'cutter' hose ends (nobody uses taper hose ends, do they? ) https://i.imgur.com/OfXRvnr.jpg The earls one has been used, but ignoring that the quality of the machini...

Michelin pilot sport 4, I run them on my daily they're outstanding for a road tyre, the group tests rate them highly too..
